@coolascooler87 As one of the developers of this series with Phil Mendez, Foofur's owner died and left the house to him (that's why he has a collar) and the conflict was that the real estate agent was trying to sell the house and Foofur and his friends would do everything possible to stop her.

This used to be one of my top favorite shows when I was 12. I still watch cartoons theses days. But today with the Penguins of Madagascar and Pokemon being more of my favorites these days , and older shows in other times that came before , Foofur couldn't hold a candle to them. Still , it's nice to relive seeing this show a few more times for old times. I had no idea they made toys based on this show. My parents did all the toy shopping around Xmas, and I rarely saw the toy isle. Begging issues

@reivenlocke Well 12:00 was pretty much Saturday Morning no-mans land. At that point you were really scraping the bottom of the barrel for cartoons. The networks figured their target demo had already passed out from diabetic comas after consuming bowls of Froot Loops since 5:30 AM.

i have foofur dolls. a Huge one, bought from a little korean store on the south side of milwaukee,wisconsin, i cried when i opened the box. but no one i know EVER remembers FooFur. i slept with his doll till i was in high school and had a coloring book too......it was my FAVORITE. My twin bro and I use to watch this ...We both remember it. MY cousin use to always try to sing the theme and make us laugh... The eigties had the best cartoons. No other era like it..Nowadays cartoons arent cartoons. They weigh too heavily on the person life of a cartoon ie...XMEN.. What ever happened to using ur imagination and just being a child. Cartoons contain waaaaay too many special effects and graphics now...

I used to have a tape (VHS) of old 80s Cartoons from back in the day and this cartoon was one of 'em! Too bad it only lasted a short while! I still remember the characters: Foofur, Louis, Rocky, Fencer, Fritz-Carlos, Annabelle, Hazel! Good times, good times! After the 80s and early 90s, cartoons went straight to hell! A lot of the cartoons today would never compare to the 80s cartoons! Never! Some of the cartoons actually had a PSA at the end! With stuff like this, 80s cartoons will never die!

I think Foofur is easily forgotten because unlike many of the really big 80's cartoons that re-ran in syndication throughout the 90's & early 00's (i.e. Thundercats, G.I. Joe, etc.), I guess Foofur wasn't initially a huge success @ NBC. So, the show is only remembered [mildly] by those who were around when it originally aired. This is yet another reason to say, "Thank God for Youtube!"

Foofur replaced Snorks when NBC sold the show to USA Network for syndication in September 1986, in early 1987, NBC brought back Snorks to it's lineup.
