We have booked Stourport Ring for April. Just shown Jo the clip. It's a good insentive to learn how to steer and contol a narrowboat so that i do the locks.
Indeed. If you look closely you'll see the boat hitting the sides of the lock on the way in, several times up the flight. Its only a frame or two of video, but translates to an embarassing bang when you're actually steering.
We did those locks a couple of weeks ago. The hardest paddle gear on the system, apart from the Cairn Flight in Wiltshire. And no pub at the top either!
