Diolch yn fawr am y cyngor Chelsey.... 'Ddrwg gen i anghytuno, ond dyna yw'r cyflymdra cywir yn y trefniant 'ma, er 'mod i'n ymwybodol ei fod yn gyflymach na'r fersiwn traddodiadol. Pob hwyl a diolch am ddangos diddordeb yng ngherddoriaeth Cymru!
Love the video and the dramatic humour.. Does anyone have the welsh text of the second verse about Mary Jones having too much 'tea'?? Havent found that verse anywhere on the net and its much more fun than the one normally quoted.
That second verse...it is different to the one I usually hear with the song. Is it new? it is not even on the wikipedia page for 'sosban fach'. What is the direct translation?
Ah yes, so she does. That's new isn't it? I thought her finger was supposed to heal, and that's about it? Now she's off buying crockery and all sorts.
If you ask me I doubt her finger was broken in the first place. Sounds like benefit fraud to me.
That's an interesting point - it hadn't occurred to me that hen Fari Jones and Meri-Ann might be one and the same. If so then her obvious alcoholism would explain the domestic injury, not to mention the chaotic state of her kitchen.
LOL I don't know why, but this made me crack up laughing...

I find it impressive he was able to sing that whole song like that without cracking up laughing.
In all honestly, I would never be able to do that.

Old Mary Jones went to the fair in Caerau,
To buy a tea set;
But Mary and her teacups ended up in a ditch,
Through the consumption of rather too much "tea".

It's a definite possibility. Think we may have got to the bottom of this surreal song.
Now all that's left to solve is what REALLY happened to Dafydd.

The cat died xD he was 2 when he got scratched

Mari probably bashed Dafydd over the head with the crockery. Or a saucepan. That's how she hurt her finger.

Love the description:
"Jonni Bach's feline disagreement, Old Mari Jones' trip to buy crockery, and of course saucepans of various sizes boiling away."
But when does Mari buy crockery?!

Precisely when this incident occurred is not specified, so please use your imagination.
