(1) When mixing audio, reduce the bass of the track containing the vocal as much as possible. There's usually no need to lower the midrange of the musical track.
(2) Mirroring in Vegas:
rightclick an event, Video Event Pan/Crop, uncheck Lock Aspect Ratio and Size About Center buttons at left, then set width to negative whatever it is, and save that as a preset with a name like "flippy" or something.
