You obviously don't play baseball. If you sit on a pitch and the pitcher throws the pitch that you are looking for, in real life you have a much better chance of hitting the pitch. Major League Baseball players don't hit homeruns because they have NO idea of what the pitcher is going to throw. They're not guess hitters. They are looking for a pitch. They look at the tendencies of the pitcher and what he throws in certain situations. learn a thing or two before you open your mouth buddy.

Yea but it's a game. It doesn't give you an edge if you just know in your mind where it's going to be as it would in real life. You have to guess it on the game for your hitter to know. Just because you know in your own head doesn't mean the batter knows. He will still hit like he doesn't know. If any of that makes sense. It makes sense to me :)

I agree with academykid on the guess pitch. In real life you can't 100% know what pitch its gonna be or the location right when the pitcher starts his windup. It's more realistic without the guess pitch. You should only be able to mentally guess it, since that's what you do in real life.

but whoever i was arguing with has a solid point, you can guess the pitch yourself, but in the game guess pitch helps your batter, cuz he wont know what you are guessing. for instance, a ball might be low and in but he may swing high, guess pitch is meant to help the batter in the game

Three games. And anyway, if you consider Mike Mussina and his sub 2.5 in his last 17 starts a minor league, Joba and his sub 2.6 ERA as a starter, and accepted potential #1 in Chien-Ming Wang combined with a team bullpen ERA of 3.4 as bad pitching, just wait till we win the pennant this year.
