This is from the early Suite de Morceaux (written about 1898). I've got a copy of it, recorded on a fabulous Cavaillé-Coll in northern Spain - I shall upload it fairly soon!
Really amazing - thanks so much for posting this. There's a lot of noisy people who debate whether Cameron Carpenter is music or not . . . or to be more precise whether being "heathen" matters. This piece here is the proof that music must touch the soul.
Even if it has been modified post-Cavaille-Coll, this is still one of my favorite organs; in fact, I think this is one of those very rare cases where modifying it made it a better instrument than it was before. The choice of a Contre Fagott as opposed to a Contre Bombarde has always been a good one, I've thought. This instrument is, much like its most famous titulaire (and my favorite composer), best at expressive, religious music. Thanks so much for posting!
I fell in love with this instrument having grown up with the Durufle recording of the Poulenc Concerto for Organ Strings and Tympani, also from the 1960's I think.
Very nice, the recording and the slideshow both. I'm glad I found this video, this is a really nice work on one of my favorite organs by possibly my absolute favorite composer.

@russedav5 Cantilène Improvisée. It's listed in the video itself, but I didn't leave it on the screen long enough when I was editing.

Un pur régal pour les oreilles parmi tant de pièces d'orgue sur Youtube qui "arrachent" !
Pas d'osmose éclatée dans le cerveau : une écoute parfaite au service de la qualité sonore et de l'élégance du discours !
