  • superb & awesome,like it

  • Saw him in Cartagena Jazz Festival, awesome performance !! And the sax guys are funny as hell :P

  • Colchester`s Finest

  • I saw James and the guys in 2008 when they supported Willie Nelson, and they weren't my type, but bloody f-- they were good, and I can even remember how the emcee guy welcomed him onto the stage. If he does up here again, I might consider it, cause I'd like to hear what he can do in a full-length concert.

  • I saw him live in North Mytle Beach this weekend and they were wonderful. I would highly recomend seeing them in person if you can.

  • JUST LOVED IT !! ..... so f...ing cool old-new everything !

Quiting my band RIGHT NOWWWW !!

  • what a fine Bariton player. what a fine drummer, subtile

    Much better as the cd

  • This song packs the dance floors of the beach & shag clubs in the Carolinas. Sexy dancing!

  • Swing!

  • The former 'Howling Wilf & The Vee Jays' frontman is on great form here!

  • The band can swing!!

  • Best singer in England,no doubt.

  • Fantastic Jame, James Hunter 007

  • I've been in the music game a long time and James does it the way I only hope I can. Pure and straight forward. He's a breath of fresh air . Thanks

  • Im seeing him tonight at The Basement in sydney! If he sounds this good tonight ill be one happy lady. Totally agree with the Sam Cooke comparison. I think uve got to remember also that live music sounds way better when ur actually there, compared to when its recorded and uploaded on youtube....

  • wat is the name of this fine kind of music??.

What a harmony, no screaming , singing on a fine volume.

  • geeeeez....it's only been around for so many years....soul...very very a la sam cooke....he uses the recipe that theyve been using for years, but he does it very wellll! very well....

  • after only Cuban music a fantastic new kind of music. For me as 52 years old person a big relief .

  • Great stuff. Just bought his The Hard Way CD again after giving away my first copy.

  • nice song

  • Sam Cooke reincarnated.

  • a bold claim!

  • Im quite shocked that his live stuff isn't (in my opinion) as good as his records, and his brilliant and unique voice doesnt really come across in this. Still great though.

  • close your eyes, and try it again

  • LOL, i get your point, but a "real " artist does is as good or better on stage.. without a tape..

  • This man is a god!!!

  • i saw him on french TV ,this guy is good ,he's brilliant.

  • I just heard this guy for the -first- time today at his site(s), and MAN HE'S GOOD !

I'll be buying his stuff for sure, just don't know what to buy first :\

  • @TheWholigans buy it all!

  • what's this song called??

  • This song is called People Gonna Talk.

  • I still need to get this guy's album, it must have been over a year since James Hunter performed on the JHS.

  • me gusta , me gusta...

  • Got this album and must admit was slightly underwhelmed. But you know that way when your maybe not ready for something? Well just been listening to the more commercial fare of Pete Molinari and tuned in and this sounds great. It's just so different, which I suppose can't be bad. Sam Cooke's melodies are so appealing to less advanced customers like myself but this guy is pure soul/feeling/genre if you know what i mean? Hopefully I can get sucked in; failing that itll need to be Jimmy Cliff!

  • I saw him in ann arbor. He's off the charts!

  • Top stuff this. I've played his last record to death...but still haven't had the chance to see him live.

  • Caught his act @ the burnaby roots & blues fest in britis columbia...refreshingly a cross between Ray Charles & Sam Cook. Had to come home & buy his disc that night.

  • I was there,too - both nights! He's the best!

  • sheer bliss. thnQ

  • I was there at the Jazz Cafe last week I could have danced all night. Thanks James. Can't wait to see you again. You ROCK!!

  • british r&b & soul at its best.saw him live at the jazz cafe. pure class!!
