  • This is a Rohr. I'm 200% sure. Rohr's make a distinctive high-pitch noise when they accelerate.

  • Excellent video. I'm a New Yorker but my favorite system is the DC Metro.

  • Good lord, that PA system is up loud!

  • It makes a difference when there isn't anyone in the train as opposed to a packed car

  • Even with a full car, that's still loud, actually going beyond the limits of the speaker (that's why it has that fuzz in the sound).

    I ride Metro daily, and even at Metro Center during rush hour, that thing's still really loud.

  • Nope! Those are Rohrs. The Bredas that are still original have brown rubber handrails on the seats, and the rehabbed ones have the new interior.
