its a waste of talent, budget and time.

everyone knows that the series focus is on the multiplayer mode,even the previous titles only featured poor bot matches and yet nobody complained, so wtf dice!

scrap the singleplayer shit and release it a few months earlier!

@DustMan2704 Why the fuck not? if you know the history of BF games you would know they never really have good campaigns. just missions where you shoot things. This is all about creating a story to pull in a bigger audience. im the type of person who usually only plays online with other people. stopped playing campaigns after ghost recon. so basically what they are doing is giving people a bang for their buck..the best of both worlds. if you dont like the story there is online and vise versa.

there are more than enough games out there for an decent singleplayer experience and campaings.

i wouldnt mind having an interactive tutorial buts that about it,

programming and creating singleplayer content is delaying the release and costs some of the developers budget and eventually hinders the multiplayer mode from being more polished and having more content.

the battlefield series shouldnt provide "the best of both worlds", there are other series to do that...

@NuCasy destroying the environtment is just a bonus when playing battlefield. Other reasons to buy it are the graphics, the huge maps, the great multiplayer, and the realism(aka the way the weapons handle). and potential reasons are LAN, great AI and a great singleplayer campaign.

cod = fast arcade style based lone wolf action, on small till medium sized maps

bf = huge Vehicle based team shooter with different classes and teamwork on huge till giant maps

ofcource you can compare them but they are still totally different :)

and if this IS real gameplay i have to say wow ! and i have to say im very sceptical cause i don't think this will run on the current console generation

Remember that this gameplay was on a PC. If you want to be sure of that, you can jump to 1:55 when he wants to take his partner and see the W,A,S,D buttons of a keyboard. The graphics on the consoles may be a little lower, but in this case, all the PC gamers would think that this game it's a totally WIN.
