Woman's car towed in anticipation of garbage collection

Come on it was Christmas. They can knock off more. Have her pay the towing and screw the storage. I'm sure it cost them nothing to have it setting there. Police could have gave her some help by knocking on her door or something. She was trapt by the snow. Our neighbor lady works two jobs so I and my kids shovel her walk as well as ours.

@loriann1237 First of all they got dumped on with snow. Second, she lives in an apartment. It's their job to have snow removed. You don't know if she has medical or physical restraints. I've shoveled after heavy snow and it's a bitch and I'm a pretty strong man and have a bugger of a time. That's a pretty asinine towing bill.

They have to be smart enough to buy it back at the auction in someone else's name. $900 for a week is really ridiculously priced. The states all seem to WANT these people to steal cars. Think about how many new cars they tow! Very few, they seem to know it's easier to pick on the poor, crippled looking cars. The lenders wanting them to borrow may be contributors to this wickedness. The most wicked thing about it is the sneakyness and the price. How could the police be so mean?

@ouivalerie Seems like the police would rather pester me for having out of date tabs than run the meth user down the street into jail. My car was in my driveway and the tabs had expired. They sent me notice that if I didn't get tabs renewed they'd tow it. I said I don't drive it and it's in my driveway. Didn't matter. I said maybe you should play police man instead of meter maid. Man that pissed him off.

I sympathize with this woman. Did she ever get her car back, or did they simply STEAL it?

Not necessarily there are some decent towing companies. The one around here almost entirely focuses on towing people vehicles when they break down or if there has been an accident. They still charge and arm leg and occasionaly first born child but they never tow for something like this.
