DOT meens DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, in canada where im from there called MTO MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION, yes it's MTO not MOT would make more sense right... and hey nice vid, i got some of me with oversize loads just donno how to put them of here lol
In the United States, the Department of Transportation (DOT) has a branch of highway patrol officers, whose primary duty is to ensure commercial trucks are maintained to safety standards. They have the authority to pull trucks over for inspection, even if nothing seems out of order.
Here in the UK they are called VOSA......I can't remember what it stands for though....Do you know? I have just started driving for a company 2 days ago....Its my first job since getting my H.G.V licence.....When there is not much work on the tippers then they want me on the hook-lift skips......I am loving it........Anyway nice video mate.....
Funny how DOT and Law Enf. agencies violate our Constitutional and Civil rights, by following DOT policy instead of Federal law. Whatever happened to probable cause and reasonable suspicion in order to conduct a traffic stop.
Would you like an unsafe truck smashing into your car cause it;s tires are worn to the thread? or it's brakes fail because the truck has not been maintained?
Awesome job isn't it! I know cause I drive a coal end dump tri-axle trailor truck here in WV and it never gets boring. I'm going to start filming my work too.
Where are you from and how much exp. do you have. I live in WV and I have driven for 6 years as an OTR driver and just started driving a coal truck. They hire rookie drivers here for coal hauling, but you would have to go through around 3 months of training.
this was awesome. take the mundane, and make it into a compelling piece of work. there was more creativity in this short clip then the last 10 hollywood blockbusters.
driving a truck sucks it gets old fast .

J12345cat,
green lights in US are not police, typically used by volunteer EMS or firefighters, but it varies in each state.
