A dark album, where weed was tical. it wasn't till the redman/busta combo's the kids jumped on it....then things took off, maybe for the worse.whatever way, for me personally Tical is still up there after almost 20 years....

previous commenters have a point. about this not being mainstream. while meth might be a relatively popular rapper, he is nowhere near as mainstream as someone like Jay Z or Eminem, simply based on his popularity. this is because members of wu-tang (as a group as well as once they went solo) cared less about appeasing the popular "rap" that was being embraced in the late 80s, and began a more raw, yet lyrical style that was a gangsta as the West Side, but a 1000 times more intelligent. YEA!

It's fine they don't like it, I'm not one to bash others who don't agree with me on music, but I do want people to at least understand a different approach to music. Method Man and RZA didn't set out to imitate the Wu-Tang debut. This is some haunting music, delving deep into the dirty, dark souls of men.
