Every time I hear this song, it makes me want to cry a little bit. What a great tribute to our American Heroes. It is really a shame that our President is apologizing to these extremists for something that was an accident. And yet he doesn't mention the brave souls who were shot and killed. It is really sad, my heart goes out for them and their families truly. I joined the Illinois National Guard a month ago. I am leaving for Ft. Benning, GA in 2 weeks. HOOAH!!
@PvtTreece congrads on having the courage to decide to do what many would never consider. You have already gained respect in my book. Sill is not bad, This is the area that I am living. It is definitely not as bad as Knox or Benning.
i recently joined the Army, i ship off for basic training on May 29th to Fort Sill Oklahoma. i would love to go see Arlington and visit the graves of all the great American Heros who have gave their lives for this country before me and pay my respects to them
It pisses me off that soldiers who die are not known about, yet people like Whitney Houston's death is a big deal, well f**** her!!! She didn't do shit for our country!!
@The2004Alamo That's what I'm talking about but I think the reason why they don't tell us about the deaths is because they (the government) doesn't want another "hippie movement" like what happened on the home front during Vietnam. But still we should know about those who had died and not about what celebrity died, got married, got a haircut, etc. It pisses me off too man.
My father and Grandfather was in the military.I learned alot from them.My grandfather passed away Dec.15 2009 I miss alot he taught me alot and we went through alot togeather! My dad and grandfather both served our country! r.i.p paw paw I miss alot:(

This video speaks of the COST OF FREEDOM. So many people have forgot what it cost to be able to do what we do. My brother served 8 years and lost a couple of friend over there and theres not a day i don't think of what those men did so i have the right to be free. We can only pray and thank them for there ultimate sacraficy the gave to protect us all
@crewguy1261 Freedom? You think these United States are free? LOL @ THAT 1. TSA goons are groping little girls and old ladies at the air port and you call that freedom? NDAA bill says the government can arrest you, detain you, and kill you if they so choose and you call this a freedom? We have less rights than China and this fact isn't even debatable so you need to wake up you sheeple and take a good look. VIPR teams on the street doing searches and you call that freedom?LEARN SOME
@crewguy1261 The government staged the events on 9/11/01 and blamed it on the CIA asset Usama bin Laden to destroy the Bill of Rights and Constitution, and Time magazine did a hit piece about ending the Constitution. Oblahblah brought Vincente Fox to Congress about ending the Constitution (which was a treasonous act). The Barry Soetoro (Oblahblahs real name) sued the state of Arizona on behalf of Mexico which is high treason and hangable under the Constitution. WAKE UP FOOL!!!
@crewguy1261 We no longer have freedom and the Attorney General lied to Congress about Fast and Furious, the gun running into Mexico to discredit the second amendment. Our country is run by the worst criminals on Earth. They own the politicians and Osama Ben Benanke, Greenspan, Geitner, Jamie Diamond, The Coch Brothers, Rockefeller, they're all destroying what our forefathers laid down their lives for and they wrap themselves in the flag as their doing it. WAKE UP!!!
@crewguy1261 Screw praying, I say get informed, get prepared, and spread the word. Five percent of the population won our freedom in 1783. If 20% stands up to tyranny which under the Constitution is our duty then we can easily defeat them. "Resistance to tyranny is obedience to god": Ben Franklin. 2012 will be the most eventful year of our lives and I don't mean the hoax known as the Mayan calender, Nibiru, Elinan, or any of the media garbage. Watch China, its the big one.
@crewguy1261 Now let me enlighten you on Iraq and Afghanistan. Afghanistan is the world leader in Opium production. The Marines are there protecting the poppy for the Afghanis (Fox News Heraldo Rivera). 500 billion dollars a year in Heroin come out of Afghanistan, that is why we are there. CIA planes have crashed loaded with it and it was on the news. So don't think for one second its about freedom.
@crewguy1261 Now onto Iraq. Donald Rumsfeld brokered a deal with Hussein in 1983 for Halliburton to process the oil fields. They invaded Iraq based on the lies about WMD's that didn't exist so Halliburton could take back the possesions they lost in 1991 after the Gulf War. This is why Halliburton got the exclusive contract in 2003 when it was costing them 11 cents a barrel for the oil and they sold it to the government for $2.35 a gallon.
@crewguy1261 So all those guys that your brother knew that died there died for Halliburton who fed them rancid food. Served them drinking water full of neurotoxins like sodium fluoride. They exposed the troops to DU (pleated Uranium) which has a half life of 4.5 billion years. Look at all the guys in the 82nd air born dying from exposure. This media hype about the troops is a facade perpetrated by criminals who move them around like chess pieces just like thay do with al CIAda.
@crewguy1261 These are the hardcore facts and I strongly advise you and everyone to go look them up for yourselves. The whole world is a smoke screen and what they tell you is all false. Biggest lie this year was the death of bin Laden. He was diagnosed with a rare renal disease in 1996. He died on Dec 13th 2001 2 days after being captured by the Green Berets in Tora Bora. Hamid Gul, head of Pakistani Military confirmed this fact, so did Steve Pieczenik, former assistant to Kissinger
@crewguy1261@MasterWitchDoctor is wrong so don't listen to him...& Bin Laden was actually killed, there's even video's of it happening & pictures of his body, so don't believe @MasterWitchDoctor, cause what you said in the very beginning is the truth.
@crewguy1261 & you know your right because your brother served, so you know whats true & whats not :) & Please no offence to @MasterWitchDoctor, you see i'm only 14, but the things @MasterWitchDoctor said about Bin Laden is wrong, cause I saw pictures & videos.
god bless the fallen heros i will be enlisting soon and i will be honored to die like these brave men and women have even if i dont come home my family and friends will know that i died doing what i loved and was honored to do it i love my family and friends to death but i love my country too military is in my blood and if i die i hope my papaw salutes me when i see him he was in the air force died in 09
Everytime i hear this song it reminds me who im doin my job for, a great man once said "greater love hath no man than this, the he may lay down his life for his friends", i agree with this 110% cuz it takes a hell of a person to take a bullet for someone they know but it takes a whole different kind of person to take one for someone who they dont even know their name. Having said that Hooyah armed forces!!! Go Navy!!! AMERICA!!!!!!!!!
Everyday I wake up and get in my truck and drive to work. I can freely own and shoot guns. AND thats never gonna change. MY father and his father served in the military i thank them everyday for it. I thank every soilder the ones who have passed away and the ones serving today. The fact that every hard working man on American soil can wake up and not hear the sound of gunshots is because of the men who served. RIP god bless. And Thank you American soilders for the freedom you have granted us!
im only 14 . . . . .and even so my hero isnt some celebrity, its these men who fought for us, noone can compare to the thanks that i give to be free thankyou to everyone outhere who has fought for the freedom of our country and R.I.P to the people that fought and died for our sake i wish i was as amazing as a hero that you are
this is what gave me the reason to be proud of our troops and for the people who died the past 10 years that's when i was like 3 but still today i never thought that would ever to happen R.i.P Edward John Wiess Jr.June 27, 1940 - May 14, 2010
this is what gave me the reason to be proud of our troops and for the people who died the past 10 years that's when i was like 3 but still today i never thought that would ever to happen R.i.P Edward John Wiess Jr. 1937 - 2010 My Grandfather
What a song! I'm an Australian but this song hits the heart I have alot of respect for all serving troops, aswel as great music and this song tops it!! Rest In Peace to all the real hero's very sad but great song 100% behind all the troops..
I heard this song in the car the other day and literally had to pull over because I was crying so hard.
My brother is in the Army... I love you, Kevin. <3 A kid I went to school with had a brother who was killed in action. it broke the heart of our little town. God Bless our troops...bring them home safely. <3
Say what you want about the wars we've been in. Call them good or bad, but always remember...the men who fought in them never asked for it, never wanted it, but they did it regardless. Say what you want about the wars, but always respect the soldiers who fought in them...because more than anyone else, they were the ones praying for peace.
I remember the spring day I layed the father of my daughter to his rest there in Arlington. It was his last wish to lay with his brothers. It was a beautiful day with the blossoms from the dogwood trees carpeting the ground. Those endless rows of stones drove home just what it cost to live as we do.
Joe you were a wonderful Husband and Father and we miss you very much. Its been nearly 8 years and 1 grandchild born whom is very much like you. You never leave our hearts ,,,,Love Barb
We sure could use some real Americans like Trace serving in the Senate and in the White House. Then we would see America come back as the proud and wonderful nation she once was.
I remember my parents taking me and my brother to Arlington National Cemetary a few years back. I've been there twice and there ain't nothing like seeing all those graves go for miles. I remember seeing the changing of the guard and walking through all of those stones. It was beautiful and really makes you appreciate all of the sacrifices people made to keep us free. God bless them all and if you've never been to Arlington, go. It's worth it to see all the brave people who died for us.
I'm attending my fathers funeral this Thursday. I wish he could have seen me graduate high school. Rest in peace Major Keith Smothers, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. My father and friend.
Just wanted to say Thank You for all of your sacrifices. Many times we take for granted all that we have and forget to give appreciation to those who allow us to live the 'free' life that we do. Your efforts in the war against terrorism and service to our country is greatly appreciated. On behalf of myself and my family, I send you our thanks love and please know that you are always in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless you all
@DisneyMagic901 ,be proud of all you have done for the world, good, bad and indifferent;l You,as |Americans, gave to the world,a sort of peace ,sure, not every one sees it that way,,,But having spent the last 3 hours listening to what some would call jingoistic music and lyrics.I nwish I was one of you,,,But I am happy to be Irish as well.Married to an Idahoan, living in Ireland,
i am honoered to be in the ranks of the finiest fighting force in the world i am happy tht i have the privalged to work on the finist helicopter on the planet th AH-64D apache i hope to be burried here someday i hope tht thiss will be final resting place if somethg were to happen to me i will bear tht cross with honor knowing tht i will have givin my life for mu country ma'm your son past away as a hero and dont ever let anyone tell you different God blees him and you ma'm
This place means alot... This is where my Grandfather is buried, my father, and my brother.... All killed in Combat... Grandfather-Vietnam Dad-Iraq 2006 Brother-2009..... May God Bless them
@paintsvillehs i agree, im 13 i almost saw them, but my whole class is spending the day there tomarow. they're in DC as a field trip that cost too much for my family. so some jerks who wont be respectful are going while i (someone who has wanted to see Arlington for a long time) is in Indiana. plus all my friends r there. have u seen them?
I truly love this song, its really things like this that makes me wanna pick up that rifle in the Corps and fight for my country, whatever the cost i will prevail through training this coming June and i will battle any who threaten the country i love and if i die, i know i will die a hero for my home and for my people
Im from south Ontario, I took a trip down to Washington, and I had the good fortune of going to Arlington, truly amazing place, I remeber I looked over from the top of the hill, at the endless rows of graves, a chill ran down my spine, and then I realized what it truely meant when they say: "Freedom isnt free" Thankyou to all those who serve, for both Canada and America, you are all truely something to behold.
Every time i hear this song it puts tears to my eyes. and even tohugh i have know idea what the fallen and the veterans have been through, its like i can feel there pain and the suffering in those long nights when they toss and turn reliving the horrors that they have been through. god bless all our troops and keep them in our prayers both the fallen and the ones who are over seas today.
this song honors the folks who are serving for our country because of what happened to this graceful country 10 years ago...i thank EVERY single man/woman who has served in the armed services.. but i think the firefighters and police officers who served that terrible day 10 years ago should get this same honor and be buried next to our heroes because they are heroes as well <3
God Bless all whom risked their lives and general well-being as members of The Armed Forces; whether a Soldier whom joined for a good scholarship, or a Soldier who joined for Love of The United States of America - the Thank You is all the same. I tried to join several times, but I have a bundle of excluding anomalies.
My Pop was in the Navy; WWII - Okinawa - final battle. {He joined at age 16, shhh ;) }
It may seem strange, but Arlington is one of the most beautiful sites I'd ever visited.
@JFYach god bless and and as for arlington its beautiful becuase its full of selfless people who gave there ives with out any want of anything in return jsut so we can lay down at night and have no worries thats why its beautiful is because its full of selfless love
@JFYach god bless and i know what you mean i went there for a school trip and yes it is beautiful because its full of love its full of people that without asking with out thought of rewards went out fought and died for us so that we may live free thats why its beautiful its full of selfless love for there brothers and sisters
I was part of the Navy Honor guard for two years. There is the briefest of moments in the video where you show some of the Navy Honor Guard. I get chills every time I hear this song. My friend and Shipmate Brian Moss was killed in the Events of 9/11. He was also a member of the Navy Presidential Ceremonial Guard when I was. I am positive he is there in Arlington now. Thank you Trace for such a beautiful song to honor our fallen...
"This is my country," Says Marcie Gravelin, Desert storm Call Box- A moment in Iraq--Welxome to Arlington
Try to imagine trying to sleeping in a jungle or the desert at night not knowing ... tribute to the troops today, 06-16-2011. Homecomings. Respectfully, Marcie Gravelin .....
You can disagree with the war and not believe in what they're fighting for. But, never say anything bad about the people fighting it. Just thought id put that in there.
i just want everyone in are great country to respect all veterans alive or dead

NDAA bill says the government can arrest you, detain you, and kill you if they so choose and you call this a freedom? We have less rights than China and this fact isn't even debatable so you need to wake up you sheeple and take a good look. VIPR teams on the street doing searches and you call that freedom?LEARN SOME
MasterWitchDoctor 2 months ago
@crewguy1261 The government staged the events on 9/11/01 and blamed it on the CIA asset Usama bin Laden to destroy the Bill of Rights and Constitution, and Time magazine did a hit piece about ending the Constitution. Oblahblah brought Vincente Fox to Congress about ending the Constitution (which was a treasonous act). The Barry Soetoro (Oblahblahs real name) sued the state of Arizona on behalf of Mexico which is high treason and hangable under the Constitution. WAKE UP FOOL!!!
MasterWitchDoctor 2 months ago
@crewguy1261 We no longer have freedom and the Attorney General lied to Congress about Fast and Furious, the gun running into Mexico to discredit the second amendment. Our country is run by the worst criminals on Earth. They own the politicians and Osama Ben Benanke, Greenspan, Geitner, Jamie Diamond, The Coch Brothers, Rockefeller, they're all destroying what our forefathers laid down their lives for and they wrap themselves in the flag as their doing it. WAKE UP!!!
MasterWitchDoctor 2 months ago
@crewguy1261 Screw praying, I say get informed, get prepared, and spread the word. Five percent of the population won our freedom in 1783. If 20% stands up to tyranny which under the Constitution is our duty then we can easily defeat them. "Resistance to tyranny is obedience to god": Ben Franklin. 2012 will be the most eventful year of our lives and I don't mean the hoax known as the Mayan calender, Nibiru, Elinan, or any of the media garbage. Watch China, its the big one.
MasterWitchDoctor 2 months ago
@crewguy1261 Now let me enlighten you on Iraq and Afghanistan. Afghanistan is the world leader in Opium production. The Marines are there protecting the poppy for the Afghanis (Fox News Heraldo Rivera). 500 billion dollars a year in Heroin come out of Afghanistan, that is why we are there. CIA planes have crashed loaded with it and it was on the news. So don't think for one second its about freedom.
MasterWitchDoctor 2 months ago
@crewguy1261 Now onto Iraq. Donald Rumsfeld brokered a deal with Hussein in 1983 for Halliburton to process the oil fields. They invaded Iraq based on the lies about WMD's that didn't exist so Halliburton could take back the possesions they lost in 1991 after the Gulf War. This is why Halliburton got the exclusive contract in 2003 when it was costing them 11 cents a barrel for the oil and they sold it to the government for $2.35 a gallon.
MasterWitchDoctor 2 months ago
@crewguy1261 So all those guys that your brother knew that died there died for Halliburton who fed them rancid food. Served them drinking water full of neurotoxins like sodium fluoride. They exposed the troops to DU (pleated Uranium) which has a half life of 4.5 billion years. Look at all the guys in the 82nd air born dying from exposure. This media hype about the troops is a facade perpetrated by criminals who move them around like chess pieces just like thay do with al CIAda.
MasterWitchDoctor 2 months ago
@crewguy1261 These are the hardcore facts and I strongly advise you and everyone to go look them up for yourselves. The whole world is a smoke screen and what they tell you is all false. Biggest lie this year was the death of bin Laden. He was diagnosed with a rare renal disease in 1996. He died on Dec 13th 2001 2 days after being captured by the Green Berets in Tora Bora. Hamid Gul, head of Pakistani Military confirmed this fact, so did Steve Pieczenik, former assistant to Kissinger
MasterWitchDoctor 2 months ago
@crewguy1261 @MasterWitchDoctor is wrong so don't listen to him...& Bin Laden was actually killed, there's even video's of it happening & pictures of his body, so don't believe @MasterWitchDoctor, cause what you said in the very beginning is the truth.

@crewguy1261 & you know your right because your brother served, so you know whats true & whats not :) & Please no offence to @MasterWitchDoctor, you see i'm only 14, but the things @MasterWitchDoctor said about Bin Laden is wrong, cause I saw pictures & videos.

Im from south Ontario, I took a trip down to Washington, and I had the good fortune of going to Arlington, truly amazing place, I remeber I looked over from the top of the hill, at the endless rows of graves, a chill ran down my spine, and then I realized what it truely meant when they say: "Freedom isnt free" Thankyou to all those who serve, for both Canada and America, you are all truely something to behold.

this song honors the folks who are serving for our country because of what happened to this graceful country 10 years ago...i thank EVERY single man/woman who has served in the armed services.. but i think the firefighters and police officers who served that terrible day 10 years ago should get this same honor and be buried next to our heroes because they are heroes as well <3

My Pop was in the Navy; WWII - Okinawa - final battle. {He joined at age 16, shhh ;) }
