  • I also feel the need to say that the performances (from what I see) seem really stiff and lifeless. And the singing is somewhat bland.

  • I'll give you that "The Boys from Syracuse" is pretty outdated. The style in which it is written and SUPPOSED to be performed is very indicative of musical theatre in the late 30s (before "Oklahoma!" revoluntionized the musical) Changing it is not stupid because you ought to leave good work alone (and it is good work) it's also stupid because it strips the play of what it really is: an artifact of the time in which it was written. I'm sure R&Hart wouldn't have liked their score changed either.

  • I shut this off at the 8 minute point when I saw that a song from By Jupiter was interpolated into the score. Interpret all you want but have respect for the writers and do the musical as they wrote it.

  • by any chance could you possibly post videos of the actual musical numbers? my high school is doing this show and i would love to see these actors and their take on the songs and characters.

  • To answer emazinglyemi's questions, Keith Dworkin wrote the new songs and re-orchestrated the originals. He is fantastic!

  • Where did some of these songs come from? Half of these aren't in the original at all! Did you guys do a re-write or something?
