Man, am I ever glad that *I* don't have to rely on a piece of JUNK, like this, for MY survival. I wonder what dumb-assed general took a bribe to adopt this POC at tax-payer expense ? ... Gimme a K-dyne Pocket or a Frontier Pro and a Steripen or, even just chlorine or chlorine tblets. What idiot would rely on salt+batteries+tronixs to just make chlorine, in the field ? ... I want my tax dollars back ! What a total waste !
This is only half of what you need to clean water, it's not a filter - it is a chemical (raw bleach - chlorine) electronically generated to kill bacteria and viral germs / amoebas etc in the water (sanitation) the next step is removal of dead germs (disinfectant) with a water filter / pump such as an MSR or Katadyne filter. Water purification is a minimum of two steps for safety, (kill / remove) and store in a germ free container with a dash of Chlorine / neutralizer..................

the reporter kinda lied.. Its not 15 minutes.. its half hour to 4 hours depending on water quality..
