Henry can often state the obvious and he sure takes his time doing it in this video. He also has an innocence and profundity that come about because he is willing to reveal his flaws. Anais certainly learned from him as initially she found him crude and vulgar. He certainly awakened what already existed in her he woke her out of the toil of Parisian subservience and repression.
He didn't say that the neurotic man was the man of the virtue. He was quoting someone else and wanted to talk about that idea but was clearly not specifically endorsing it.

Yet again, a MAN blows away a woman in discussion and art and anything else. Bitch siting there babbling while he gets to the heart of things. Just look at those moments when she sits there slammed by his knowledge, head down, looking to the side. And I like Nin. I really do. No hate. It's just reality. That's the best a woman can do.
@misOBGYNist “I do not want to be the leader. I refuse to be the leader. I want to live darkly and richly in my femaleness. I want a man lying over me, always over me. His will, his pleasure, his desire, his life, his work, his sexuality the touchstone, the command, my pivot." Anais She was doing what many women do while talking to a man, becoming the stage and spotlight for him. That doesnt mean she has no voice.
Rubbish. Men don't need women to do that & generally, they certainly do not do so. That's bullshit they spew to seem like some sort of martyr, catalyst, or power behind the scenes. The truth is, that's nothing but compensation for not measuring up. Of course she has a voice, and boy did she use it to talk a lot of shit. By the way, what she said was more about getting fucked than anything else. She wanted feminist bs "equality" except in bed. Typical. (cont...)
@fbvamp Cont...Btw, if you can't see what those words really mean between the lines, you're blind. She used men to succeed. Even many feminists know that, which is why she's so controversial among them to this day. feminists hate when women use men to succeed...openly, that is. They'd much rather use men covertly, then claim self-sufficiency & autonomy...
Very Rare! This is golden stuff to see them both talking between each other! WOW, thank you for uploading this Henry was a true sage and Anais was a truly remarkable woman, you don't get many like them today!
@sacrificialtotem Just be grateful we can actually hear and see this. This footage is from the 60s or 70s. It is insane somebody still has it to share with us

Interesting. And we are only now acknowledging the plasticity of the mind in western science.

I like this when Henry is talking about the quick and the dead, when the quick are transported by spaceships to other places, that's fantastic!
