Hi Janice. Because it was a workshop with time constraints, the actual grisaille (grey monochrome) was done with acrylics and the glazing was then added with thin transparent layers of oil paint with little or no white added. This method may doe executed with any of the other mediums you mentioned. Only you can't put the acrylic (any water base) over an oil base.
