I owned an S2000 and tracked it quite a few times, that thing sounds and looks slightly tuned, mostly with suspension I suppose. And it still has the 2.0L F20C, and you know Torque is non-existance in that motor. You need FI to make S2000 quick on the track.
Pretty sad that the Cayman S doesn't have an LSD, judging from the age of this video (probably shot in 2008, LSD is offered only in 2009+)
@NigoNI60 This s2000 is not WAY faster than a normal s2000, it is only lightly tuned. fairly making a few whp and just a few suspension tuning. funny how you should talk about power when you're comparing the Z4M which doubles or even triples the s2000's price tag and has an additional 80+ more bhp and 100+ more ft/lb of torque. well deserved victory tho against the cayman S. but putting and comparing the s2000 in this category is like putting a silvia against GTRs.
@NigoNI60 Where did you read that this S2000 was "WAY" faster than a normal S2000!?! Having owned an AP2 that thing looked and sounded absolutley stock to me. There wasn't 1 indication that it had been modified in any way from the sound of it. All I saw were aftermarket rims and maybe an inch of drop? @flimper, on this track I would dry times are usually 3-4 seconds faster. So make it an even 3.5
@salskyline they dont have a choice : | we take what we can get right? it was raining when they were testing.. but they're real drivers... they dont complain n retake or whatever like fifth gear or top gear might

displacement alone says it all.

well deserved victory for the Z4M
BTW, this S2000 was WAY faster than a normal S2000, and still nowhere near the Z4M. Power isn't everything... but it helps a lot

How many seconds would running in the (heavy) rain add to the lap time?

350 driver sucks

I don't think its fair when Best Motoring make these cars run in rain condition, Cars won't have the advantage to go full throttle.

New Cayman would whoop this lot! 320 Bhp and lighter!

202free 2 years ago
and the 370z has 330bhp and it's lighter...the cayman isn't the only one improving...the z4m is perfect especailly for such an old design
