  • I saw this today at my history class and right now I will never see bugs bunny the same way ever again.

  • 2:22

    The common Imperial Japanese soldier.

  • nunca mas se repita esto

  • The only way animation survived during WW2 was propaganda films...even Disney did it :P

  • Come on, this was made in 1944 during the height of the war between the US and Japan.... did we really expect our propaganda to be politically correct?

  • This is tame compared to what is truly shown on the news on a daily basis.

That's it, let's bury history and act like it never happened.

  • The comments are all trolls. looks like everyone did an outstanding job following the instructions on ED.

  • Damn gooks got what they deserved when the master race dropped the A-bomb on top of them.

  • Pearl Harbor. Torture at Bataan. Mass rape and execution in China. F*** Japan then and now as today they choose to ignore it all.

  • Back when Bugs bunny had balls.

  • Oh Lulz...

  • too bad Mickey Rooney wasnt in this, as that Nip (my bad for not being politically correct, I mean Jap-Nip)

  • "Anime is a prime example of why two nukes wasn't enough..."

Master Troll New Hampshire State Rep Nick Lavasseur

  • ED sent me here, I'm glad they did lol. Tikiwikidinglingkikiki

  • I remember showing this cartoon to my Grade 10 history class. Good times, good times.

  • Thank you ED, you guys made my day linking me to the funniest shit ever.

  • Every race has their goods and bads, every race can and WILL be made fun of at some point. If you find this "offensive" You're an ignorant person that confuses hate with ignorance

  • it's ok to make fun of white people..don't do it to anybody else..heaven forbid..ooops..i just insulted the athiests..i mentioned heaven

  • bugs bunny is one of the biggest trolls in history

people need to quit getting butthurt over stuff like this its cartoon get over it

  • I wish Chuck Jones was still around so he could make a cartoon like this about anime.

  • @PsychoJosh yea, that would have been awesome. All this japanese crap is pissing me off so much. that's why I love this video

  • "This cartoon makes asians look bad!!"

"And it makes Rabbits look like assholes, what your point?"

  • Kill the Japs!!!!!!

  • Something about Bugs Bunny calling people monkey face and slant eye makes me giggle.

  • Whiteys would have no balls to do the same thingto jews or blacks....... they would've never posted this video up if it was about those two groups

    cowardly pig skinned crackas

  • @KoolJayJ What are you talking about? There are plenty of them on youtube. Are you retarded or just trolling?

  • @KoolJayJ Dude, there's like 8 Loony Tunes making fun of black people. Not killing 'em, but black people or Jews never fucking ATTACKED US OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE KILLING THOUSANDS OF US!!!!! and Jews never hurt anybody except Jesus...

  • @jcoffee180 Those weren't really attacking black people they were just snide social commentary. Race and war were hot-button issues at the time, particularly because of the heightened confederate pro-slave sentiments present in the southern states.

  • @KoolJayJ I hope you are trolling, because we all know white people are superior to others. I am talking about Americans, and people from Germanic-speaking European countries (including UK)

  • @Bengedoes only for the last 500 years........ before than, whites were barbaric savages living in bushes

  • WTF, it was wartime, were we all supposed to be culturally sensitive while attempting to kill the other guy? Get over yourselves.

  • this is pretty fucking funny

  • 12 people "pure wapanese" =D

  • hahaha Fuck to be All Wapanese, vocaloid lovers ^^

  • VIOLENT AND FUNNY!!!!! LOL

  • stereotypes? Whatever, we can all be stereotyped in one way or another.

Racist? Calling them "monkeyface" is just asking for retaliation. Screaming that you HATE their island over and over again: same thing. That's more racist the "stereotypes" could ever be.

    Good cartoon? ... Not really

  • People are way too sensitive when it comes to stereotypes. It's not that bad, everyone does have some sort of stereotype of some other culture. Hypocritical bastards

  • This is not Racist it is Propaganda. You ought to see some of the Japanese Propangada.

  • Well they did bomb Pearl Harbor

  • i love how when elmer fudd, your typical redneck hunter is on there, its not stereotypical but since this guys japanese its completely unacceptable. people are just too fuckin sensative

  • japaneeze

  • every culturally offensive video i see is full comments that are all the same. Everywhere it's "OOH THOSE WASCAWWY WACISTS THEYWE A DISGWACE", then in comes "OOH WHERE'S YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR YA DADBURN CONSARNIT VARMINT?!"

  • if you dont like this you have no sense of humour. raw jokes are the best jokes, im not offended and mel blanc seems like a nice guy. I grew up on his cartoons all of em

  • if you dont like this you have no sense of humour. raw jokes are the best jokes, im not offended and mel blanc seems like a nice guy.

  • Oh so THIS is wear Americans learned to say Hara Kiri wrong! Hary kari! Harry Kerry, UGH. I heard Rush Limpdick say it wrong once, it's so annoying!

  • I love this rendition of rocking my dreamboat at the beginning

  • well slap me silly & call me old cornbread

  • "Here's yours, monkey face." hahahahaha.

  • They're speaking fake Japanese.

  • Comment removed

  • So racist. Oh my god.

  • @UltimateDav it's the internet, where's the bar?

  • Japs are yellow monkies

    atmicbomb on to tokyo!

  • Fucking japs, bite me you banzai cunts!

  • HAHAHA JAPS!

  • they break the forth wall alot

  • maybe racist but it is kind of funny :S

  • okay i can see why this short will see the light day...uhh..airtime. And no disrespect towards anyone but, it`s still pretty funny for a cartoon. JUST the cartoon part. lol grenadsicles!

  • fuck you weaboos

  • Here's some scrap iron for Japan, Moto!

  • Bugs Bunny has offended pretty much every race. Therefore, he is not racist. He's just funny.

  • Why does the japanese guy sound like hes from vietnam?

  • Hahaha, you gotta love propaganda!

  • Heh. That was pretty funny. These cartoons haven't been very funny in the past decade or so, good to know they started out pretty hilarious.

  • 君が代と中国音楽が合体したみたいな曲うけたwwwww 日本人の顔ひどいなあw

  • Wow...no wonder this was banned.

  • Man, if Bugs Bunny were real, he could have won the war single-handed for us! Go, Bugs! Anyway, this isn't nearly as racist as it could have been. Whoever thought this was racist needs to grow a sense of humor.

  • I hate this P.C world we live in today. America had every right to make fun of the Japs back then since they started it by bombing pearl harbor. No one would care if some show(mostly adult-cartoons) made fun of Arabs since most people still are sad as the day the world trade centers fell and America wasn't safe anymore

  • @NaziZombieKiller1991 ACtaully, the Japs didnt satrt it, Mr. Asshole FDR did when he blocked trade of oil and scraps and such.

  • @NaziZombieKiller1991 please do not adress the japanese as "JAPS" it is very offensive because that is the name given to the japanese during WWII

  • @SiLlYcHiCk9290 You need a history lesson. The word "Jap" has been used since the late 1800s.

I am offended that you would wrongfully accuse this young, upstanding zombie killing gentleman of using offensive language that originated in World War II.

Your accusation that was made in ignorance warrant's an apology to NaziZombieKiller, and everyone in this channel who came here to enjoy this fine cartoon.

  • @SiLlYcHiCk9290 They deserve it.

  • I still kind of blame Europeans for WW2 anyway. They fostered a militant colonialism culture for hundreds of years before the tension extended into WW1 and WW2. And Japan simply wanted to be 'one of the big boys' and didn't want to end up like China. And they had to become a bully to fight bullies.

Regardless of my own heritage, I don't blame this cartoon. Just a different time. Also, us Asians get Ken Jeong, who does filthy racist schticks in MODERN TIMES.

  • War sucks. Get over it.

  • The good old days when our freedom of speech wasn't buckled down by "political correctness"

  • @Davar6969 So there are certain things we aren't allowed to say today? Wow I never knew.

  • @TheBidnus I more meant that if you say anything insensitive today in a joking manner, you get far more backlash then you would've back then. Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not considering its hard to detect on computers

  • Wake up, fruitcakes, this is the reality of the war. Japan fucked up when they woke the sleeping giant, and we fucked up when we nuked hundreds of thousands of their people including civilians. War is never pretty, and it brings out the worst in humanity- BOTH sides. Have you seen the anti-american satires from Japan at the time? They were just as prejudiced. Nobody is saying this is a good thing- but this IS what the mindset was at the time. Same thing happened after 9/11.

  • @sonbuhitsunei: the atomic bombings weren't a mistake. The Japs were so heavily propagandised by their government they thought Yanks would kill and eat their kids while raping their wives. An invasion would have put more civilians in harms way, they would be taking up arms against US ground troops, forcing a shoot on sight order to protect US troops. It would have degenerated into house-to-house fighting that would mean far more casualties on both sides. 2 nukes killed thousands, saved millions.

  • @heroicslug and you've been so heavily propagandized by your own U.S. government that you actually believe that to be true. The US launched the nukes so they could intimidate the Russians and become the sole world superpower of the time. They thought they could bully and police the world into their subservience because they'll be damned if they ever respect a culture that's not American. See: Korea, Vietnam and more recently the Middle East.

  • @Turtlesauron Brush up on your history and you would know that Japan was warned of the atomic bombings beforehand. They did not believe the American Government's claim, and so we were forced to use those weapons. To clarify: the bombs were dropped, not launched. ICBM technology was, apart from early German prototypes (V-2), decades away. To the point, I stand by my conclusion that the use of nuclear weapons was both justified and correct. It was the quickest way to end a war that needed to end.

  • sure everyone raging about this should realise japan did/does the same thing, i guess it's okay for them to do it but not us? Guessing if this was an anime it be okay huh.

  • I don't see anything wrong with this short.

  • you call THAT restored???

  • I love the dehumanization of an enemy during a brutal and bloody war. It's funny at the time but eventually trolls remorse kicks in.

  • bugs bunny makes a great geisha, buck teeth and all

  • this is an accurate representation of japanese culture.

    it is proven by science

  • I'm a bit of an otaku myself, but I still find this hilarious (and appropriate, given the time period and the circumstances.)

  • "Here's one for you, slant eyes"

    "Here you go, monkey face"

    I FUCKING LOVE IT.

  • 1) Take this video.

    2) Show it to a hardcore Wapanese/Otaku.

    3) Get Popcorn

    4) Enjoy the rage

  • Enough with the politically correct "racist" holier-than-thou crap your radicalized communist teachers infected you with. This was a world war. Nasty propaganda was produced on both sides. The same has been true in all wars since time immemorial. Thankfully, the evil "American war machine" beat the more evil Nazi & Japanese war machines so freedom could prevail, ultimately giving you computers, YouTube, and the right to be an ignoramus for the world to see. Stop hating America.

  • @NickB1967 This guy's correct. Don't hate the US for this video, instead hate them for the thousands of other legitimate reasons they've given us.

  • @DrHerccoel: That's a good little Soviet dupe.

  • I wish this was real

  • Dang. I was expecting this to be offensive, but this went WAY over the top. Couple that with some bad writing and I'm glad this thing was banned. How long after Pearl Harbor was this released, three hours?

  • @legionaireb Yes and I'm certain the German propaganda featuring Donald Duck, Popeye, and Bugs Bunny bombing French civilians while the French were listening to DeGaul's propaganda about liberation coming is so much more appropriate. As is the modern anti-Western propaganda constantly produced by Japan today.

This is culture. Why should it be banned? Censorship of media is the worst thing that ever happened to the US. Taking away censorship ended Vietnam.

  • Hey. I got a better than all of you jackasses below me. How bout you just watch the fucking video and enjoy Looney Tunes? I mean shit, EVERY fucking video I go to on here, I find bitches like ya'll (if you weren't, I apologize for my ranting) complaining about racism, slang or what the fuck ever. And honestly, who complains and starts fights like these on YouTube? Give me a break, grow a pair and shut up, enjoy Looney Tunes

  • im a white person... and I even find this SO OFFENSIVE

NO WONDER IN SOME CASES JAPANESE (and asian) PEOPLE ARE NOT TAKING SERIOUSLY... BECAUSE OF SHIT LIKE THIS. THAT SETS THE STEREOTYPE

    ITS LIKE THEY'RE FUCKING JOKES...

  • @wesssed

    ^Weeaboo.

  • Can anyone tell me what the name of the cartoon where bugs bunny is lookin at some japanese guy and he says "Ehh (chews carrot) what's up slope?" my dad always tells me about that when we start talkin about old cartoons (for the record I don't want to watch it for the racism I want to watch it cuz it's looney tunes)

  • Hahahaha! Angry weeaboos unite!!!111eleven11!1!!

  • Before while watching this I thought the only racist thing in it would be the first japanese guy, but wow giving ice lolly bombs to innocent people too =|

And why'd they make Bug Bunny horny at the end? =S

  • OMFG IM GOING TO HELL FOR LAUGHIN AT THIS SHIT!!!

  • This cartoon was made during a time of war with the Japanese. To judge it now when we aren't at war with them anymore is ridiculous. This is history even if it's a cartoon. Does anyone here want to judge the propaganda that the Japanese was spewing during the same time? Remember, this is from the era of the Pearl Harbor bombing, and there are still soldiers on both sides who remember. All media is representative of the time it was made. Read your history books (the unsanitized ones).

  • @craftychrisonetsy Yeah, but that kind of stuff isn't acceptable by todays standards. Everyone was a racist back then.

  • @craftychrisonetsy Yeah, but that kind of stuff isn't acceptable by todays standards. Everyone was a racist back then. Sure, when you put in perspective it's fine. But what if someone made a racist cartoon today? Would that be fine?

  • @craftychrisonetsy Yes, we get the context, but that doesn't make it okay. It's wrong to use ethnic slurs and caricatures even if you're at war. True, this was commonplace in the 40s, but so were lynchings, and segregation, and prescribing meth as an anti-depressant. You can't just glibly write off the misdeeds of past generations purely on the basis of being past generations.

  • @endersgame55 He never said it wasn't wrong.

  • @endersgame55 Be sure to tell that to your grandchildren when they call you are barbarian for X.

  • @MrJohn2010 X? What would "X" be, exactly? Protesting the use of ethnic caricatures in entertainment? Well, the little whipper snappers are going to get an earful then, aren't they?

  • Comment removed

  • omg kill it with fire...

  • can't believe children of the 1940's were watchin this. just sayin'

  • Business is booming! (BOOM!) lmao

  • 2:22 Look at that. That Jap came out pretty quick. 5:10 Look at that. Bugs Bunny's a Geisha.

  • I miss the old times...

  • @Krysel675 americans were really racist, im native so really cant say alot

  • omg SO KAWAII ^___<

  • Lol! The sound and quality of this is so bad it should be kicked in the balls.

  • @UltimateTibu its 1942, what do you expect?

  • Here you are slanted eyes lol

why does he paint the jap flag on the trees?

  • @CadeSperoni To keep track of his kills.

PS: Show this video to any Weeaboo/Otaku, sit back, and enjoy the ensuing hilarity.

  • Here you are slanted eyes lol

  • It is funny. Unfortunately it tended to reinforce the notion that the forces of evil who we were fighting against were not only a bunch of total idiots and inferior to us but that they could be easily defeated with simple trickery using nothing more than ice cream bars. Anyone who fought against the Japanese in an island campaign or in the CBI theater of operations will tell you that this was far from the truth.

  • Japanese deserve to be made fun of. After all, they're asking for it

  • Racist, but justified.

  • "Disgusting racists"? Have some perspective for a moment. Imagine if 2,459 of your own people (That 2,402 military and 57 civilians) were needlessly murdered. I am, of course, referring to Pearl Harbour. Would you not want to express your disgust at the people that did that? Well, that's what this cartoon does. Oh, and let's not forget that this kind of thing still happens today. Don't tell me you've never heard of Achmed the Dead Terrorist. He's the same kind of satire, but for 9/11.

  • @hotelmario510 Don't forget what they did to civilians in Korea, Manchuria, China, and the Philippines. Indiscriminate slaughter of women and children + Mengele-esque Medical experimentation + Forced Prostitution + Head chopping contests = OMG SO SUGOI KAWAII NEKO-CHAN ARIGATOU DESU DESU DESU!!!!!

  • @Mongler37 Exactly. I'm not saying it's right, but that looks like pretty good motivation to me.

  • @hotelmario510 Also, I don't know if you're aware of this. But Japan has never apologised for its atrocities

  • @Mongler37 Oh, I'm aware of that. Well aware.

  • @hotelmario510 THANK YOU! People don't have a clue anymore. Perfect example with Achmed. "OMG That's racist..." ... unless you consider the time and events of said time. Stop the PC crap and remember your history... if it can get you to crack a smile at a sad moment in time... I say BRAVO!

  • @MrTheSnowdog I mean, don't get me wrong. I watch some anime, and I do respect the Japanese (being as they are now largely a peace-loving nation, more or less), but at the time, it was a very different story. It's the same for how every ethnicity was represented at one point. It's not wrong, it's just what happened. The Americans had every right to make fun of the Japanese like this, and now that the war is over, and we're all (kind of) friends again, we might as well just laugh.

  • @hotelmario510 I guess if you're not Asian-American you wouldn't understand.

  • @hotelmario510 Ever heard of 442nd Regiment. Completely made up of Japanese-American soldiers fighting in Europe. Even though their loved ones were wrongly imprisoned in concentration camps, they still stayed loyal to their country, even when they were being threatened with violence and served with distinction in the army.

  • @hotelmario510 Well mate I think the day US bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, US and Japan got even I mean 2400 marines vs 250K japanese civilians is self explanatory...

  • @hotelmario510 Yes it was sad that the incident of Pearl Harbor occurred. But why go to great lengths to start up a racial dispute legally through cartoons. I am laughing at this cartoon, because it shows how truly ignorant and stupid the Americans can really be, especially the big corporations such as Disney or Warner brothers.

If you think this is bad, look up the cartoon that has to do with some old guy with blue skin by Disney, or better yet, look up the Donal Duck in Nazi World War 2.

  • @kuru2k9 Implying that only Americans can be ignorant is rather ignorant on your part, as well.

  • @NewCaliforniaRepubli Yeah well like I really give two shits about America anyway. Not to worry though, my country is just as stupid anyway. We basically tried to convert certain races into Christians without letting them express their own religion or culture. And I am not ignorant when I said the above statement either :).

  • @hotelmario510 imagine if over a million of your own people, civilians, at that, were murdered.

  • @hotelmario510 ur a moron does hiroshima mean anything to you? im not gook but you just sterotype yanks even more with ur stupidity

  • @tamedsoilder21 I'm British.

The entire Western fucking world is not America.

  • @hotelmario510 My point still stands they got their revenge and more with the bombings

  • @hotelmario510 your still a dimwit

  • @tamedsoilder21 Your the one who can't punctuate you sentences; you have no business calling anyone a dimwit.

  • @TheCasanovvaa Do u live in the US or are you lieing to be a cool dude on your profile

  • @TheCasanovvaa Wow, you used a semicolon whilst burning someone for their grammar :). Very Risque XD.

  • @hotelmario510 close enough

  • @hotelmario510 *harbor :)

  • @hotelmario510 I agree with you, but of course we can all agree that the US, with its imperialist attitudes, is pretty much worthy of the same kind of satire. I'm sure you would understand it, seeing as how you are so open minded about racism when it is put in context.

  • I think this is hilarious. Forget the historical context. Forget that it meant anything. If you just watch it as it is it's a black comedy spewing hilarious political incorrectness. Especially that part bugs calls all those guys names in their faces, that's funny as hell. No shit it's outrageously racist, that's why it's funny.

  • This was back when nobody thought globally.. The United States was at war with nations threatening to end this country's existence. You have to remember we had people loyal the the U.S. back then. People will sell their country and all their beliefs for a buck now days.

  • You people are sick disgusting racists. You make America look bad.

  • @TheAssLikMan. What makes America look bad is having a weak coke sniffing piece of genetic garbage as a so called president who does everything from the fetal position.

  • against the Japanese, but it also helped soldiers get over their ethical dilemmas about killing their enemy. This cartoon does a pretty good job of that.

  • @sshot3 Congratulations, you're politically correct.

In December of 1941, American territory was attacked by the Japanese, with lose of life, and the sinking of a few capital ships (namely the Arizona and Oklahoma). We had justifiable reason to dislike the Japanese. We declared war on them the next morning, but we didn't win a battle until Midway.

The general goal of a piece of propaganda like this is to denounce the enemy to the point of appearing inhuman. Not only did it "justify" our fight a

  • "Here...one for you, Monkeyface!" Isn't that what they said when they gave Obama the Nobel Peace Prize?

  • I dunno, I just don't find this that funny. No, I'm not Japanese, and I'm not American. Guess I'm not in the mood.

  • this was amazing.....

  • lol azn

  • Okay, so somewons widdle fewings got hurt. Need I remind people that when this was made,we were at war with Japan?! Now this may seem alien to you bleeding heart Liberals but back then we fought t wars and weren't in the habit of giving foot rubs to our enemies. Pull thine head out of thine ass

  • @noloveforme7 I do agree with you that wartime of the past was different, but at the same time, compare this to the also well known "offensive" Nazi Donald Duck cartoon Disney did. The Nazi Donald cartoon points out some real things that were happening at that time, people being grossly overworked and starved and basically bullied into working for the Nazis.

  • @sshot3 And btw when I say bullied, I mean the German citizens themselves that didn't want to work for the Nazis but were coerced, and of course not the Jewish citizens and other victims of the concentration camps, whose suffering of course could not even be compared to "bullying"...

  • @sshot3 Very few German Citizens, at the time, were against the political party that single-handedly took them out of the Depression and restored their economy in less than 4 years. So no, the Donald Duck cartoon was just anti-Kraut propaganda, just like this bugs bunny cartoon was anti-Tojo propaganda.

  • @noloveforme7 But this cartoon is just flat out racist. The Japanese guys talk ridiculous, and Bugs calls them all kinds of racist names - "Japs", "Bow legs", "monkey face", "slant eyes". There's no good reason for it. There's a difference between being patriotic and making a statement, and just mindlessly hating the perceived "enemies" and making fun of them in an infantile way.

  • @sshot3

So it's okay to kill them, but not make fun of them?

  • HAHAHAHA!!!!!!
