  • 3:27 sounds like 30 seconds to mars! and a bit later too! Nice taste in music!

  • @fishtankfreak You definitely heard 30 Seconds to Mars.... Love me some Jared Leto :)

  • @LittleTrucker1972 Nothin' wrong with that! =D

  • thats a myth....some companies govern their trucks...but i havent met 1 owner op with a governor....some companies run their company rigs wide open as well...

  • sounds like knight transportation lol they got there trucks runnin cross country at i think 62...might even be 64 now....but thats way too damn slow....i couldnt do it im canadian....we truck hard and fast here....

  • @MrHotforhoneys16 Really?? I heard all trucks were governed in Canada...

  • @LittleTrucker1972 we are, only 10% of them are "broken", or just dont have them installed, they get some really pretty fines when caught, to be honest the amount of ppl doing more than the 105kmph they are governed to that one sees in one day can be counted on one hand. so buddy there probably either runs for some 2 bit company or is one of the jackasses doing 120kmph down the 401 corridor hogging the hammer lane.

and the band Red = musical awesomeness!

  • anyone ever use that safety pass pro deivcE? and dont tell me anything bout qualcoms or shit like that i just wanna know if its legit

  • damn u must be going slow as shit is shop rite passed u haha. nj turnpike has no pateince for anything under 70

  • @inktoxicated They had me cut back to 61mph for about 6 weeks... But we got the trucks turned back up. Every driver had turned their 2 weeks notice in, because we were going insane!!

  • @LittleTrucker1972 damn 61!!! thats torture what they got em at now?

  • @LittleTrucker1972 No problem. I was about to say that it looked as if it was moving pretty well. I have to admit that the driver of the week video where you were forced to stop on the ramp just pissed me off! I'm guessing this is in Northern New Jersey?

  • @BlueJaysCade Yeah, this video was filmed mostly in northern Jersey...the car on the ramp was filmed heading out of Brooklyn going to Staten Island.

  • @LittleTrucker1972 Where was this filmed? They seem to be moving pretty well to me - this coming from someone in Northeast Georgia that believes turtles could race on the road faster than what I see on a daily basis. You get behind some prick nickledicking around in the left lane every morning and never get above 40 miles-per-hour. It isn't exactly an anger management seminar but you just might need one before jumping out there. :) Great taste in music.

  • @BlueJaysCade This was filmed mostly in New Jersey...The point was not to show how slow the others were moving, but how slow I was forced to travel when they turned down my road speed for a few weeks...LOL.....Thanks for watching and listening !!

  • Nice Video! Love Them Truck's!!!

  • Oh damn. You got passed by Covenant? That's a slow truck, driver.

  • @nightowlvg I am soooo glad this only lasted 3 weeks, or else I think I would have completely lost my cool out on the road.. I now know firsthand why so many slow drivers are bitter, and I cant say I blame them too much!! :-)

  • @LittleTrucker1972 I'll say this, your taste in music is excellent!

  • @sickharvest Thanks !! I didnt know if anyone would notice all the different lyrics I spliced in......seemed to fit, dont ya think?

  • @nightowlvg Even worse she got passed by a Schneider, lol

  • @bigkev1115 I think Covenant is slower than Schneider. At least, it used to be.

  • Interesting video Terry. What would you say on my problem ,and of every Europe trucker's problem - trucks limited to 90 km/h = 55 mph. It just sucks , special if you are a Owner/Op payed per km. And ofcourse at the jacknife situation ;-) p.s. Stay safe out there.

  • @OwnerOperator1984 Hmmm, well, I feel like it would be different if we were all governed to the same speed. But if only a few are at 55, and a few more at 58, then some running 62, 65, 67..the frustrations comes from the slow vehicles trying to pass the slower vehicles and the lack of courtesy among the drivers. But, yeah, I am sure it is frustrating for all Euro drivers. :-)

  • @Tephladon Now, do that on a 20 hour return trip home from the NE..It added quite a bit of time to my week, just happy it only lasted 6 weeks... We all threatened to quit.

  • Im not trying to start anything... But limiting trucks is a GREAT idea!!! For example the truck at 1:26 is following way too close to stop in an emergency.

This is very important as I was almost run over by a truck the other day... I was cruising on my bike at 60mph behind a car that suddenly braked and the truck tailgating me locked up the brakes and caused three other cars to swerve into other lanes...

  • @eckstream1 Thanks so much for sharing your opinion. A lot of people have habits of following too closely, but I think when you have all the trucks governed slower, you run into the situation where 2 and 4 wheelers feel more confident to take more risks. We all need to take more caution. Thanks for watching.

  • Damn! Them Prime wagons sure have been turned down....

  • 6:50-6:58 Oh, Terry. The look on your face says it all. 61 is not a good speed to be on the interstate; especially hauling aluminum from GA to places up north in NY, MA, NJ, CT, PA, and everywhere else you've been to.

  • @jmm2000 No Truckers were harmed in the making of this video, well, except for tiny pieces of my sanity!! :-)

  • Gotta love getting the wings clipped! I got mine clipped last year aswel, i hate passing those morons that ya catch at 58 and then speed up, it's not pleasant taking ten miles to pass and holding up traffic! ;)

  • hah!I can only wish to have truck limited to 62 mph!in Europe they have to be limited anything beetwen 85-92 km/h(52-58mph), my truck goes 92km/h(58mph)

  • I do not mind New Jersey, when there is no traffic. Just have not found out when that is...

  • Nope, but that is too funny, Part Time Loser...Not Swift either.....

  • The guy driving the purple Peterbilt reefer can't even stay in his own lane. You're lucky he didn't sideswiped you.

  • He was doing a fine job of driving until I looked over at him and smiled. Seems he had a hard time of recovering....

  • Yeah, really.....Imagine if you blew him a kiss, then he would've ran off the road and into a ditch. :D

  • Personally, I would've had to get to the break down lane to recover. Keep that in mind if you see a maroon truck in your travels.

  • I will be on the look out, and please do not push me out of my lane, otherwise I might only be holding up only one finger!! LOL Are you getting nervous??

  • If I see a Volvo pulling a curtainside trailer I'll be sure to get over, to the right, if I'm not already there, and let you burn up the highway. Not quite nervous yet, still have a week to "think it over".

  • that would have been funny if u would have gotten his face reaction. lol u passed a prime inc truck. thats who my dad drives for.

  • that purple truck was a kenworth w900L.

  • You're right. It is a Kenworth W900L. Oops!

  • My uncle drives for Hunt Transportation he hauls oversized but he is goverend at 63 mph 64 goin down hill lol me my dad have had the truck he drives holding a speed of 97 with more pedal to go we cruise the I-95 corrider between florence and Fayetville if ya see that 05 freightshaker with the feedtanker behind it ya better move over

  • That must suck!

  • It did for all of about 6 weeks, but they turned us back up.

  • 6:00 hahaha i know this truck^^

  • You missed me JB rofl rofl

  • That's is not very nice!!!! :P

  • lol, so I guess it don't feel good to say "You missed me SWIFT" hahahaha

  • Are you kidding me......I would never say that!! But being the courteous Little Trucker that I am , I did do the customary blink blink, flash flash....NO highbeams though......LOL

  • i drive for celadon and yep at 66mph we drive slow but i stil drive the same amouth of miles every week its just the gething used to that is the pits

    keep on trucking

  • Sorry, I dis agree on this one, if you have studied fuel consumption reports, if you view accident stats, 60 mph is a good speed for Class 8 trucks. Anything beyond is wastefull of fuel, hard on powertrains and tires, and stopping distances increase exponentinally with speed. Who cares if other drivers pass you, you don;t have to engage in their stupidity. If all drivers grew a set of balls and joined the Teamsters Union, you would be able to relax and act like professionals.

  • my boss restricted us once to 55 when he relised he was paying over time to cover us coming back in late he turn them back up

  • We got ours turned back up when EVERYONE on the crew threatened to quit...All 17 of us!!

  • Don't do that, if all 17 of you are on the same page, you are UNITED. That is EXCELLENT, take that Unified attitude to the Teamsters Local, talk to a business agent, SIGN the cards and turn your Company into a Teamster Company. You will get excellent benefits, a retirement pension, improved wages, REAL seniority, and a greivance procedure. I like hearing "all 17" on the same page, you guys have what it takes to Organize !!

  • here in ireland we can only do 50mph trucks are goverened to do 90 km which is about56mph thats the law in europe.

  • I dont think it would be so bad with everyone doing it, but when everyone else is leaving you behind, well, it is very frustrating.. :)

  • Thanks for rubbing it in!!! It only lasted for 6 weeks, but the mental scarring has not gone away yet!!

  • I thought you were doin pretty good blowing the doors off PRIME, till I saw swifty blowen yours off :)

  • Mine (and most in Oz) are set at 100 Km/h.. Actually, mine is at 99. That is equivalent to about 60 Mp/h.

After a few years you get used to it and find it is actually a blessing in disguise! I now do EXACTY the same miles every week as I ever did, but do it so much easier, believe it or not! It just takes a while to get your head around the mindset!!!!!!!!

  • Our trucks are set at 65. What did they have you down to?

  • I was down to 61.........

It was the worst six weeks of my life!!

  • cool vid

  • The NJ Tpke is not the place to try out a lower governor. I lost 5th gear once on my way to Md. (in the 4-wheeler) and had to keep it under 55. Scariest ride ever.

  • Me Too....It was terrifying!! So glad they turned us back up!

  • austman3 ifyou hate trucks so much then stay off the road, the rest of us will endure sharing the road with them, by the way how do you expect things to get delivered? By wagon train? Little Trucker1972 dont complain too much, you can still pass all of the jerks from Ontario doing 90km in the middle lane, I travel I75 in KY, GA and TN as well as SC and NC (saw your I26 vid) and nothing comes close to the people occupying the middle lane from Canada. Nice vid's by the way.

  • HA....I didnt realize Canadians were bad for doing this....

    Thanks for commenting!!

  • wow, that seem almost like you were goin backwards! lol ;)

  • For six weeks, I seriously considered putting my application in at USPS, so I could go postal!!!

  • LOL! good one!

  • glad 2 hear they turned your truck back up. and btw i really enjoyed the music!! 5*!

  • Yeah, I think one more week of that and I would have quit!!

  • wow what was the point of the video that was really gay!!!

  • Guess you were too busy to read the discription!! Have a Merry Christmas!!!

  • I hate trucks all they do is cut you off and dont even do the speed limit. Slow the F down.

They ride your ass all day long too!!!

  • Trucks are restricted to certain lanes, so if you would move over..we wouldnt ride your ass all day long!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

  • That's nothin'...My deliv truck is governed @ 57 mph...And I'm local around Nothern Atlanta, where speed limit is 65. I piss off thousands daily.

  • YEP!! I bet you have pissed me off a time or two! I am back up to 68 and run through Cobb and Gwinnett like I dont have a care in the world...I tend to slow down a little for Dekalb though!! :) Thanks for watching!!

  • Yep, in DeKalb they gotta generate revenue somewhere to make up for all the welfare and food stampers. Where they rob neighbors in Decatur.

  • lol. i know that has to SUCK!!! i would pull my hair out. i promise i will be nice if i ever see you and fixin to pass you. i will leave a little paint :P okay lol

  • HA!! They turned us back up weeks ago....

  • In Britain all trucks are limited to 56 mph by law.

  • thats why i wanna be a owner operator cuase i dont want my truck to be slowed down

  • what did they set the max speed on that truck...them other trucks look like they doing 85

  • 62 mph...Most of that is filmed in Jersey and lets face it, everybody is trying to beat the crowd!!

  • We have the same problems in EU.. Most trucks slowed down to 85Km/h.. Can only said dont cut the balls from the bull..

  • OUCH And I thought 100Km/h was bad!! Good luck my friend!!

  • That purple truck had a lane problem!! I think maybe the lane was crooked!!!

  • When most Truckers pass me, they have a hard time recovering their lane control....I am barely able to see over the steering wheel and everybody has to let me know how funny that looks!!!!

  • at least you have good taste in music!

  • you should try 57 mph...

  • Ha!! Nope Not ME!! I got turned back up to 68, so I am mentally doing sooooooo much better :)

  • Our company trucks can only go up to 75mph. Problem is enforced speed restriction by the CHP (55 to 60)

  • My biggest problem was the speed limits were 70 and I couldn't get out of my own way!!!

  • Ya know, they say slow and steady wins the race... :) However it sucks being the turtle.

  • least you passed a swift then it passed you

  • Welcome to the 62 MPH gang! It sux but after awhile, you get brainwashed: "62 is good, 62 is healthy, 62 will help you live longer, 62 is your friend..." ARGHHH!!!

  • Oh 62 is brainwashing me, all right....My roadrage is growing by leaps and bounds..... They better turn me up soon or I will have to get out of this truck, for your safety....

  • Yeah... and image what we go through over this side of the pond... 56mph MAXIMUM. We do feel like we are flying when we manage to 'optimise' the truck and get 60 or 62mph from it!!!!! Passing most in sight!!! Can make 4-lane highways loooooooooong.

  • Going slow and on the wrong side of the road :) very long indeed.. I just got back from a run that should have taken 10.5 hours.... It felt like 3 days.

  • got no problem with 56mph, thats all you need. Take it slow and easy !

  • This video rips hardcore!!! I really love what you did with the audio. Also you listen to some sweet music. I was jamming out to this hole video. Time to watch again.

  • Good to know you have a wonderful appreciation for good music!! Glad you enjoyed it!!

  • im about to hop in one on monday , welcome to the slow party,

  • Bless your heart!! It is freaking killing me! ahhhhhhhhh

  • oops its not that slow after all i just drove it home, even passed one of yours .

  • nanny nanny boo boo (this is me, sticking my tongue out at you!!!) Happy for you, but you didn't have to rub it in :P

  • Were you full throttle?

  • Sadly RD, yes.. I was giving it all I had.... which is about 98 km/per hour.

  • I feel for you guys. I'm governed too... at 75! I could have it lifted it I wanted, but something has to keep me in check.

  • Get in there and fix the problem! What do you drive? Most likely you can look on the internet and find a crack for the governor. Or better become "friends" with some one and have him/her fix it a little. :)

  • I did that with the last truck.....They monitor these really well, so I could not get away with it!!! Damn computer age!!! Our Boss is currently in the process of requesting they remove the new governor because we are missing dedicated appointments. Cross your fingers, cuz I can't take it much longer....

  • I wish you luck with that. The truck I drive was set at 68 mph and I got it to 75 mph so I feel lucky but still think that there should be no governor.

  • I had to follow a camper at 53 mph because I could not pass in the left lane.... You have no idea how much this frustrates me....

  • At least you can run at 62mph, the company that I drive for recently turned our trucks down to what I believe to be a record breaking 58mph!! Mind you they only ran 60mph before that. I actually envy you with that fast ass truck you drive. LOL:-D Keep it safe my fellow lady trucker!!

  • OMG !!!! Who do you drive for???? That is preposterous.. Hopefully you are not out touring the country side at that rate.. Maybe a local job????

  • Yes, I have a local run but I average around 2700 miles a week between 2 states. Our trucks can run 60mph but only if the cruise is set. I don't always feel safe because the other trucks run on up you so fast and you can't pass anyone when you really need to. Regardless, I just try to stay positive, focused, and safe and I hope you continue to do the same!

  • WOW! Great Video Doccumentary beyond what words can say, I feel your pain, it is especially wearing on the mind and nerves running the dirty side with all the over population and entrance ramps, I was leaning to the left when the one big truck was merging from the get on ramp, it is a damn shame that the SOME trucking companies are a bunch of pussies and are taking it up the rear with the driver as usual taking up the slack, thanks for the vid response

  • Oh SlimKIm, I don't know how you do it... I have only been restricted 3 weeks and am losing my mind!!! And yes, it is very intimidating to have all that traffic blow by so quickly! I am usually a very positive person, but this is taking a toll on my nerves! Glad you are able to handle it so well!!

  • But my fuel mileage went DOWN!!! I guess climbing hills at a slower speed is not a good thing !! Maybe I should try running the flat lands......and KAZ would be happy to know he can now pass ME :)

  • hell yell, idle the hell outta that bitch

  • optimized idle......as well...sigh!!

I think I will stick to two lane roads from here on out!! Not as painful!!

  • Oh, the horror, oh, the shame of it all! AArghh!

My pal, Kaz, drives for JB, and his truck does 64. Mine does 74. Aaargh! Poor baby, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!!! Try to keep a stiff upper lip, and keep saying to yourself, "I'm conserving fuel...I'm conserving fuel....this is good for the enviroment....this is a good thing"....etc, etc..... Yeah, right.
