e6600 are excellent overclockers. i took mine all the way to 4.2GHz. however i've seen some not able to cross 2.8Ghz without problems. it depends on how lucky you are with the core, some dies simply have higher tolerence to overclocking than others.
i wouldnt even think of overclocking my cpu to dangerous for me now dont have the money to buy a new one if it overheats but you sure got your self a beast of a machine.
hey:) i have my cpu up to 3.000Ghz now.. from 2.4 and my ram 1000ghz from 800 with no problem, i dont know if you have ai booster look your cpu Celsius ...
i got a asus P5GC-MX motherboard and when i install aibooster it comes up a screen that i cant run the Aibooster because AI booster doesnt support the model and something with BIOS issue :(. please can you help me with my processor and my motherboard because i got a intel core 2 duo 2,2ghz and if i overclocking the max speed is 3,8ghz !. you got another idea for example how i can get the max speed ?. please help i would be so happy if i fix this.
i think that you can fix it from BIOS(if you haven't another program)but you must have very good cooling system...if you can't fix BIOS, you will have to tell it to someone who know how.Thnx 4 watching...:))
