@HakerzTM the recorder is an Olympus VN-6200PC with a lapel microphone clipped to my shirt. (wire on the inside of course) I start the video and the recorder, then clap in front of the camera. This makes it easy to sync the audio because I can hear the clap and see it in the video. Then I synchronize it when editing.

I have an Olympus voice recorder with a lapel microphone clipped to my shirt. I just have that running while the camera is going. Then I mute the audio from the video camera and sync the audio from the voice recorder when I edit. To do this, at the beginning of every recording I clap in front of the camera, the mic picks it up and then I have a sync point.

Pretty reasonable. The voice recorder is an Olympus VN6200PC. The mic is also an Olympus, not sure what model but any will work. The recorder was about $40 and the mic was about $30. I got both off of Amazon.

I would love to pull a prank like that, but I haven't trained myself to contain my laughter that much. I've come a long way from when I first bought the Pooter. I used to crack up every time I used it. Now I can keep a straight face most of the time. I'd like to be able to do what Jack Vale does where he asks an employee to read a package for him and in the middle of it he says "hold on a sec", farts, and then tells them to go on. I've got a ways to go. lol
