well tbh many ppl especially foreigners really like shanghai. it doesnt have to do with communism. shanghai is indeed an AMAZING city. i don't know what you are trying to say there buddy, but i somehow sense a hint of jealousy and comparison b/w taiwan and shanghai. tbh shanghai is better than taiwan personally.
And Chinese residence wonder why insurance company's don't recognize Chinese driving history for discounts. Same goes for many other country's...there are no rules...the police are there but don't enforce safe driving.
