Steve Jobs is a commercially smart fellow who knew exactly how to exploit the genius of his technically smarter friend.

No point in debating who is greater.

With out each of these smart guys, the closest association of the word “apple” to science and technology may be perhaps the story of that fruit causing a bump on Sir Issac Newton’s head. (Which is, BTW, just a story)

Wozniak was a freak, no doubt about it. But as good as he was, there were thousands as brighter as him. He must/should wake up each night to thank Steve Jobs for making things happen.

Today, I think we can say Apple could have been born without Wozniak or be anybody else in his place. We can't say the same for Steve Jobs. He was Apple, he is Apple.

Jobs had the tougher 'job'. There are hundreds of great products out there but there are only a few who can market and sell it right.

Perhaps, but it's as if I was saying that without Chuck Peddle from MOS/Commodore (who developed the affordable 6502), Apple wouldn't have been Apple. Besides, Peddle and his team were also real genius, but they didn't have a Steve Job with them.

Woz was doing it only for fun! Jobs created the name and made a real business out of it.

So my point is, Apple would've existed without Jobs but could have most likely existed without Woz. But we'll never know don't we.

Funny thing that... The Tom Swift Jr. books that Woz says he liked to read were written by Harriet Addams under the pseudonym Victor APPLEton II.

I think He is one of my founding fathers as far as Computers and technology, and now since technology drives our society, these guys and like Steve Jobs should help run the this country, notice I said "This Country" not the world like it is now and guys like Woz and Jobs dont have input on anything overall. He has lived and pursued the American dream in every sense of the word and purpose. Thanks Woz this speech is truly motivating to the ages and generations to come.

Without Chuck there would be no Apple 1 or Apple 2.

wow, woz is awsome. The funny thing with the tv jammer story is that the same happens with my radio, but for real. Oddly enough it (in all likelihood) was poor grounding because to get the best signal I have to touch the metal case.

He comes back, takes over, and then makes us buy 2000 dollar computers just to run MAC OSX, and when the "Woz" was the top, he wanted EVERYONE to be able to use Mac OS, and ALMOST came out with a Tiger in public domain... Fun days when younger for Steve, as with all of us! as you get older and responsibilities set in, the fun just goes away. You can tell he was in that not so sociable type crowd when he was younger,and you can see how wonderful of a guy he is when given a chance! Never judge a book by its cover! always give someone a chance! Thanks for the memories Steve Wozniak! What a gem amongst us all!
