Why is it legal to ride motorcycles for transportation but not the 2.500.00 dollar car in America? From a safety standpoint this cheap car atleast has a roof and some sides. What if it were legal if you wore a helmut? And you also have a seatbelt with the cheap car which is not required with motorcycles. lol btw Im American. i think this car comes to U.S. in october. its great for gas and money saving. it gives 50 mpg. not bad, and i think because of this car, ppl of india will be in cars more than two wheeled motorcycles. and other companies would wanna come out with cheaper and high milage cars, saving a whole lot of gas which would eventually lead to lower gas prices

firstly, it's a car for the middle class. Instead of bombing our heads with $17k - $25k loan with interest, the people of India can walk into the dealship and come out with a car and without a loan. One lak is no cheap money in India though. Style is out of the question, India is trying to get its people off of moter bikes and into cars. Take the style and put in the trash. Also, 90% of safety is based on the person behind the wheel. Speeding and DUI is not safe. The priority is mobility.

I think that tata is able to build safer cars because this tchnology is known by nearly everyone who builds cars. The price just would be higher when its safer because the material you need to do this is expensive.

Fibre Glass is plastic its known as Fibre Re-enforced Plastic or just as FRP. As someone who used to work with FRP on a regular basis I can say its easy to repair if you know what your doing but since you don't know about FRP you wouldn't be capable of repairing it at all
