@tofu46 it clearly says TORONTO...its lester b. pearson international airport....as for which particular runway who the fuck knows...who the fuck cares
@TheHalofreak92 i have fs, and first, buy pmdg. learn the systems. then think, im sitting in front of a computer screen pretending to fly a plane. pilots are flying these big machines. can you land a real 747 in a crosswind, probably not. and btw autolands are very rarely used.
@TheHalofreak92 not only CAT IIIb. and no they are not used as much as you'd think. if you can land a default 747. thats nothing. pilots are not just "buttonpushers"
@TheHalofreak92 If you think that "playing FS" makes you an authority of pilots, you are in for a rude awakening. Your post tells us all you no little to nothing about flying. Button pushers you say and auto land. Wow. I don't know how old you are but you have a lot to learn about life and flying. Let us all know when you start flying the 747 in real life and what your thoughts are then.
I've tried a zillion times an ILS landing but it just doesnt work. I've even worked with two computers ff the steps 1 by 1 - and still nothing. Ok, this is what i'm doing: i get the freq and plug it in the Nav 1 radio - swich over and click Nav 1. disable gps, enable Nav. diable alt hold, enable appr hold. i hear the beep sound, the plane doest land. sometimes, it turns away from the airport. what the hell. Help!!
And the runway he landed on is the correct runway as I believe it he came from 5-23 Intersecting 15L and 15R. So don't give me this,"Oh your not a pilot so shut up"
I said he didnt pull up because he touched down hard. It looks smooth but no, he touched down hard due to weather conditions. Touch down hard has an advantage of slowing down faster.
Haha he didnt lift it up XD I've been flying on the runway for years with Air Canada. Theres a bump in the middle there :) He avoided it. Most of us don't we just hit it and goodbye :) He must've been experienced on that runway especially landing on it on the same flight.
Mate, I'm sorry but Its the facts. First of all don't judge people, second of all I don't need yer Immature swearing, I didn't swear at you now did I? And you try being a F.O of Two Airliners ( Air Canada & Now U.S Airways-Star Alliance Movement). Even if you are a pilot, Its either that yer mental, or you haven't been on to Toronto yet. And I ain't bs'in because there is atleast 3 potholes that are now patched up on that runway.
maybe hes not interested in planes like you are, you dont have to be rude to people just because they arent most people dont know the lenght of runways or that a 747 need that much!
They are fabulous, their pilots are very very good. I met one not too long ago, he was very nice and loved 747's as well. Their landings are perfectly smooth, even on crosswind landings. Thanks for the video! Keep up the good work :)
British pilots are awesome.

@TheFSguy of course i can land it manually too but i dont need to do it.
the sstems do it by themselves.
btw auolands are used in each CAT IIIB rwy.
and they are not rare

Definitely a smooth landing, but you can see the nose pitch up for 2-sec when the reverse thrusters were engaged. Just a bit too early.
chendrik 2 years ago
Perfect touchdown but reverse was engaged too early - the aircraft's nose pitched up

that 's the smoothest 747 landing i 've ever een

HOW CAN THIS BE ON CITY AIRPORT? City Airport is maybe 7x smaller
B747 needs at least 1000 feet to stop...city aiport is 300-500 feet

xhappyxlifex 2 years ago
This is pearson, the city airport doesnt handle commercial jets.
garlex134 2 years ago
actuly it does but only porter planes that go to New York, Chicago, Thunder Bay, Ottawa, and Montreal and those are small bombardie turbo props.
tofu46 2 years ago
By commercial jets, I mean like big commercial jets like these. not turbo prop jets., also, it's spelled like this, bombardier.

I think on Toronto-London route BA uses a 777-200 and the 747-400.
Ahuntsicspotter 2 years ago
They do.
garlex134 2 years ago
I do not know any aircraft that is nicer than a B747-400 with a British Airways livery.

Maybe not. Especially considering a wet runway really cushions the touchdown.

ya i agree ba is the BEST ;)...what i love about ba pilots is that their landings are so smooth..hardly any smoke comes from the wheels on landing :)

@undeadDreadlord91 No smoke doesn´t mean a good landing. In rainy conditions it is better to have a firm touchdown to evite aguaplanning.
