Hi, Is there any software that could call out chords for me and check them using midi? I had found "Chord Practice Buddy" but I'm not happy with it.

try flash cards! its cheap and easier to get it to work the way you want.

I don't know of software that would do that.

Thanks for a fast reply! My wife helps me sometimes calling the chords but since I'm a tech-guy I would prefer some cool peace of software... I'll let you know if I find something.

there are between 12 & 14 common chords that get used over an over again... mainly all the chords with white keys as roots... & sometimes Bb major
