  • @ranjinivk.. well said.. I dont even call this as a Tomato Rasam... this is not how rasam is made in south India.. first of all.. they dont even add chilli powder at all.. there's something called Rasam powder... removing tomato's and adding Tomato paste at last is a blunder.. all this chef has is some fancy utensils with good accent Lady.. FAKE!!!

  • You people westernize even the the most traditional south Indian dish like rasam. First of all its not to be served as a soup for the starter and second of all rasam is always eaten with boiled rice along with a vegetable preparation. In India we don't use a sieve and we keep the tomatoes in the rasam. Taking out the tomatoes at the end and adding tomato puree! that could not be more fake!!

  • i will try ...

  • Tomato rasam is yum-alicious!

  • superb recipe definitely i am going to try this

  • I, for one, don't like to thin soup down

  • @cingle2004jp It's not really a soup. It's a rasam to eat alone or with rice, to aid in the digestive process. Rasams are different from the typical soups in the western cuisine.

  • i thought it said How To Make Tomato ransom

  • MMM yum, thanks for posting this, sounds yummy :)

  • i like how the place setting has 2 forks and 2 knives, but not a single spoon in sight.

I assume though at fancy restaurants the spoon would come with the course if required, though, right?

  • Thanks for this, i should try it sometime..
