  • if that bullet had bounced off the lock if you would be dead! not avdiseable to shoot a lock for that reason!

  • @brandon38503 If it had nickle plated rounds or tungsten core, it would have ripped through the hardened steel of that lock. I have shot an old engine block with a 7.62/39 Ncp round and it went through it.

  • HOLY SHIT that thing is loud

  • 90% is the guy trying to make words form sentences....10% is the actual shooting that we all came here to see. What a waste of time.

  • So in effect, would this make the .357 the master key?

  • @TropicalConfederate pretty much

  • @buddiiee seen the link you gave. i dno't honestly agree with it. biggest pistol used was a 44,bigest rifle used was a 308.

  • plus the lock looks pretty haggard.

  • jusy dont loose the key next time

  • so...what is the best? do you have a different lock of the same size that could withstand that impact? I doubt it.

  • that lock looked a lil rusty if it makes any difference..

  • What's in the fridge? I'm hungry!

  • @Hutaree2010 bunch of holes lol

  • @FabioCrow07770 Must be Swiss cheese then eh?

  • Maybe a round 2 video with some handloaded AP?

  • naw shit but they didnt use 357 or strong rounds

  • You Rock.

  • lol u may have opened the lock, but atleast the bullet didnt make a scratch on the lock part

  • ur awsome!!!

  • T.T rust

  • Myth "CONFIRMED"! :D

  • The reason this works is because the mythbusters used a no 5 padlock which is 2 inches wide and has 8 rivets, not a number 3 padlock(which is the one you shot), which is 1 9/16 inches wide and has four rivets.

  • @Broadcastbuddy2 it was the only one I could find

  • @FabioCrow07770

the point is really not the brand of the lock, but as various brands of locks ive seen shot at in movies, obviously its possible with the right gun and ammo and if your a good shot and shoot in the right place on the lock.

  • @Broadcastbuddy2 jesus christ dude, you know your locks

  • @Broadcastbuddy2

Either way you have to think about availability, what are the most commonly used locks and what situation would you need to do this in. I think the one he chose is going to be more in use. Thus, more likely to find yourself against one.

  • @Broadcastbuddy2 looks like it has 6 rivets. which is good enough for me. Fabio is right.

  • @Broadcastbuddy2 Hmm, i happen to have one of those 8 rivet hardened number 5's, might just take my 30-06 out and shoot it..

  • so much for tough under fire LOL

  • You had to make the video 3:57 long

  • you had to make your comment 8 words long?

  • @kilamin i said tht cuz he was usin a .357

  • The locks used on the MythBusters episode are twice as thick and presumably made of better quality. The one in this video, I believe you can get at Walmart for 3$ and there's no question a magnum will destroy it. The ones for the MythBusters episode were probably an endorsement for the Master company.

  • (Cont) from my last post. Lead ammunition flattens out and doesn't have anywhere near the penetrating effect of the modern jacketed ammo. If they would have used a 158gr high velocity JSP by any of common manufactures ex:Federal, Winchester, etc. That lock would have exploded on the first shot.

  • Yea bro that mythbusters test was totally flawed almost no stores carry soft lead cast bullets for the .357 Magnum anymore. They cause severe leading of the barrel and are not the safest rds to handle due to the lead content.

  • ya but how many people are actualy gonna shoot a lock off

  • Interesting, Thanks

  • Looks dangerous nan

  • do u still have it

  • the lock?

  • yes

  • Ya I Have it yet

  • send it too mythbusters lol

  • ¿No es peligroso hacer eso? ¿No pueden salir pedazos del candado volando o algo así?

  • poor Refrigerator :(

  • I checked with MidwayUSA & found two of the rounds that were almost identical to the ones Mythbusters used (that is 158grains, lead flat nosed), and 1 generates 225 ft-lbs and the other at 413 ft-lbs. Chances are Mythbusters used the wrong round like you said. Some .357mag rounds generates over 700 ft-lbs of muzzle energy, plus it's important to use the right type (jacketed makes a difference due to strength). I was surprised to see Mythbusters being so un-scientific with the particular test.

  • Tell me Fabio. What kind of .357 is the one you shot?

  • Taurus model 66

  • how much was that beauty.

  • $395 brand new...that was like 10 years ago though,to buy one now would be like $700 at least

  • damn that is still a nice gun

  • Thanks,I Take good care of my guns. Looks brand new

  • i find that kinda rareish becasue some people just throw it around but i mean i like treat my knives like a baby and my cds and if i had i would take care of it as much as you would

  • You take care of your guns, they'll take care of you

  • yup

  • @FabioCrow07770 I just bought a Taurus modell 66 (blue) for $475 after tax.

6" barrel. So you know I appreciate your videos

  • good video. and good points.

  • Wow, for being such a nancy you don't even carry one in the chamber, (do to safety?) you sure are good at being unsafe at the range. FMJ into steel?!?! You're lucky you didn't take out your shins with ricochets. Unbelievable, "whaa whaa carrying +1 is so dangerous whaaaaa"

  • Lol I'm unsafe sometimes...But unsafe is sometimes fun =P

  • like Sarah Botill ?

  • Also in a situation if you have any gun you want to shoot a lock, a shotgun with slugs would easily break through a locked door.

  • The Winchester Super-X 1oz. slug is the impatient man's key.

  • @UJS8X Oh yes it is!! The key 2 all locks ak 47 does good too!

  • In U.S. marchals wesley snipes shot a lock with a 45. It cearly showed that was how he shot it. Myth busters is flawed. There also a vid showing it possible with a 45 acp

  • that myth buster episode was annoying. I seen it done with a lead 158 grain roundose. out of a snubby 38 special.

  • yeah but it depends where you shoot it

  • true

  • Myth buster are wrong a lot. They try to be politically correct and in the process come to some false conclusions. That and the fact that the guy with the funny mustache also wears a funny hat.

  • and its spelled proving not proveing

  • yea but lead rounds are more common and get a fuckin life

  • more common? I've only used lead shot a hand full of time,FMJ and JSP are more common where I come from

  • Yeah Masterlocks are notoriously known in the locksport community as a very low security lock. Can easily be picked in a few seconds.

  • kinda wierd how its a 357 and the video is 3:57 long

  • oh and eeo222333 that is a dinky master lock and i do my reserch i can put a 22 through a car door idiot and its a long rifle

  • idk what ur talking about if ur a good shot a 22 can penatrate lots of stuff you douche bag

  • wasnt the test done using a 9mm? You would think that would make a differance but I dont remember what they used?

  • they used 9mm,.357,shot gun and an M1 Garand

  • yup your right, I just watched the real video.

  • i think it's funny how your shooting a 357. magnum, and the lengt of the video is 3:57.

    lol

  • Lol Ya I Know =P

  • dude your like master lock is not best dude you shot with a freakin gun dumbass.

  • do you have proof of this?

  • that little dinky master lock i you could have shot it with a .22 and it would have opened let alone a .357 from 3 feet away

p.s. way to miss from 3 feet away douche

  • that aint a dinky one its an average sized one. and a 22 has difficulty penetrating an older model car door, much less breaking a lock of any kind. 22 doesnt have enough grain or velocity to damage much of anything, let alone a fucking lock lol do your god damn research before you post anything unless you enjoy sounding like a moron.

  • Agreed, the .22 is no where near powerful enough. I've shot the motor of the fridge with the .22 and it bounced off and him me in the leg lol

  • c4 is more fun and easy make and that is just wasting ammo why not just wrap a nice little shape charge around it and use a cheap remote trigger system i bet you could put a nice hole in that refridgerator

  • someone took the fridge

  • lol thats funny if you could get it to work like retrofit a new fridge inside the case of that one you could quite possibly have the coolest fridge on the planet but it probably was a homeless person that took it

  • I Don't know who took it but I found Dirty diapers and an empty Dildo package on the ground where it was...soooo...I Don't want to know what happened there lol

  • lmfao

  • Isnt it obvious? a homeless 82 year old woman wearing some depends carrying her brand new stolen dildo around and saw the fridge and said hey i think ill go commando and use the fridge to carry my dildo thus stolen fridge diaper and empty dildo container

  • dude i knocked one off with a friggin 5 lb sledge im sure a 357 wold do it

  • master lock makes a lock that is bullet proof

  • I'd buy one and shoot it

  • 20 lb sledge would probably do it, but not as quickly :|

  • a good swing and it's off, done it before lol.

  • "master lock really is not the best" ...duh when it meets a 357 mag its gonna die! what was that like a 2$ lock! btw i love how you blew the shit out of this lock. thats what i feel like doing when i cant pick it! LMFAO!!!!

  • Couldn't find the key for it so I decided why not make a video lol

  • LMAO!!! very cool! nice JOB

  • "call the locksmith!" lol

  • ironic that this video is 3:57 long

  • @sniwy that isnt ironic.

  • The funny thing is that master lock's company motto is "Tough Under Fire".

  • maybe they mean flame throwers and Napalm

  • After seeing this video, maybe. You actually got me thinking why they didn't use jacketed rounds. That would have gotten better results. You see I got into lock picking after seeing that episode but my tools broke. I now learned the best lock picking tool is a bullet. :D

  • I'm a master lock picker with a .357

  • hey but head ya hit the shacle

  • Dude your funny as HELL! Your gonna kill yourself someday! Okie Dokie...

  • you are a retard. master lock never claims they can withstand a .357! i think if someone needed a .357 to get into a lock, someone would hear them shooting at it, you retard. i hope you get hit by a riccocet, you retard

  • Look at the video I'm replying to

  • big nose retard.

  • You should try shooting off a masterlock with a 12 gauge wita a slug that would be cool

  • you talk about safety all the time, and you shot a hard steel target at near point blank range?

  • I was standing off to the side

  • The video ends at .357 lollol

  • Eh... The mythbusters try and they're entertaining some times (Plus, Kari Byron. *drool*) what more could you ask for lol albeit they're quite wrong when it comes to firearm myths a lot... Like when they were trying to blow up a propane tank, etc.

A lot of the things they do only cover 1 little aspect and is, more often that not, quite wrong.

  • Ya she is hott lol =P

Shooting a master lock open is easy

  • LOL yea she is LOL

  • here is a tip, if you're making a video like this using a double action, cock it manually so there is no gun jerk when u pull the trigger

  • fabio please comment back to this can u do a vid of all ur gunz

  • When I get some time I will

  • Joinnnn Secccond Liiiiiife ~~~you know who this is~~~ i think... not realy.. but.. yeah... join..

  • You're going to end up getting shot if you keep fuckin around like that the ricochet will get ya!!!

  • Na I'd just bitch slap that Ricochet =P

  • The Odds are so Astronomical of that ever happening. Whats more likely is fragmentation of whatever it is your shooting.

  • good vid i wanna see you shoot a yellow book

  • will do

  • thanks for commenting back

  • I always try to comment back...I'm not like that fake "Nutnfancy"

  • hell yea the "Tactical Faggot" blocked me along ime ago so i was like fuck him

  • bolt cutters are how much..........?

  • Like $30....357 Round is only like $0.50 or so

  • lol master lock are completely useless... if u happen to b able to shoot at it point blanc with a .357 magnum

  • Lol, I'm guessing that it isn't a coincidence that the video is 3 minutes and 57 seconds long.

  • Lol actually it is a coincidence,I didn't notic it til after it was up for a few hours =P

  • how about a serious lock that nickel plated and all that shit...ur using a dollar store lock....okie dokies....

  • Who the F**k gave him a gun?

  • Santa Clause..I was a good boy

  • Haha nice

  • No one gave him a gun, but the constitution gave him the RIGHT to own them. He isn't hurting anyone; just having some fun.

  • do you know the plot trajectory in the event of an accidental richochet at an angle?

  • Yep I do,It would pop off at a 45 degree angle away from me

  • i never understood why a bullet richochets maybe you can shed some light on this subject?

  • When the bullet hits a hard object and expended all it's force into that object and if it has not penetrated the object It has nowhere else to go but backwards. object in motion stays in motion

  • WOW Myth Busted

  • were you not worried about a richochet

  • Little bit,I stood at an angle so if there was one it would miss me

  • you proved it could be done in three shots they were proveing it couldn't be done in one shot like in the movies but nice vid

  • the movie they showed shot the locks three times not once

  • i do apologise i just watch that episode again and seen you were right n i was wrong sorry are you planning on buying any more guns? plz reply

  • Na It's cool =P

I'm planing on buying some new guns later this summer early fall. derringer or two,Glock 22c....or maybe an ak-47...or If I see something That I really like I'll get that...Wish I had money to buy one of each lol

  • never give a nerd a gun

  • What is with all the hating? Guess some people have such small lives they have to get off on insulting someone on the internet.

  • I Guess so...Not too smart talking trash to a guy with a crap load of guns though lmao =P

  • ironically, the round is the same number as the length of this video.

  • if anyone noticed the lock was rusted around the inner workings and lower parts of the shaft. i could have hit it with a hammer and knocked it apart

  • No, you couldn't have. That was nothing more than a little surface rust, not nearly enough to make it crumbly, or for that fact, any weaker than a brand new MasterLock.

  • I really didn't think you were gonna shoot the lock w/o eye pro, cover, etc, etc....but you did....keep those vid's coming fabio...I just subscribed...AWESOME!

  • Lol Ya. I Was like 3 feet away to

  • MythBusters really concluded a .357 wont take out a hand lock??? I don't even have to test that one out, the results are obvious.

Having the lock backed up against something is really what makes the difference. If the lock was against a hard surface a .38 would probably do the trick.

  • hell,a hammer would work

  • Careful karmic !!! We are dealing with a very unstable person here. This type of behavior where he posts some off the wall bullshit video 9 months to a year ago.....then guards it night and day like it is some sort of information like the cure for cancer....It reaks of obcessive compulsive behavior and meglomania. This dude is wayyy out of control..still lives with his mom...has very poor personal hygiene,,and loathes children because no woman would give him a 2nd look so he will never havem.

  • you went through the shackle not the body of the lock. if you went through the body, it wouldnt have opened.

  • You really should not be allowed out of the clinic by yourself. There is no way a person like you with your mental deficit should be allowed to own firearms. You are a danger to yourself and others.

  • Ha ha ha, right on pvtdinky. I wish I'd thought of that. Hey maybe you're right though, maybe he's a resident of the local puzzle factory. You never see his mom in any of the videos either. I'll bet he's hacked her up and buried her in the yard under that new piece of shit he calls a pond. What he didn't bury went into that Lasagna.

  • "More like garbage lock"? I agree, if I can blow a lock up with BALLISTICS WEAPONRY it isn't safe enough to protect my lunch and gym clothes.

  • hell yes

  • Not only are you incredibly stupid to shoot steel that close with no eye or ear protection, you then turn around and call Master locks crap because you broke it apart with a bullet. What did you expect you fucking moron? Is a tire also crap because you can shoot a hole in it with a .22?

God you are a stupid human being. Such idiocy is beyond anything I've ever seen.

  • they don't advertise tires as bullet proof

  • your lock was a #3 a lot smaller lock the commercials lock was a number 15 way bigger

  • If I Find a 15 I'll blow it open

  • I stood and shot at an angle so If there would have been a ricochet It would have went in a safe direction.

  • Oh my god cut your fucking hair freaking hippy

  • thats not a model 15 lock...its too small to be a model 15 like in the superbowl ad from the 70's

  • It is....I Think...I Still have the lock around here some where

  • watch the Master Lock vid here on youtube.....its the commercial from the 70's...that lock is HUGE! The lock you shot was wayyyy smaller. Just my observation.

  • sorry, mines a #3...I Could get a larger lock and shoot it though

  • if you could that would be great but be careful i was at a shooting range a couple years ago and had a round fragment bounce of a metal target about 40 yards down range and hit the range officer in the nose that was standing beside me....go
