If you've ever read TDKR, you would know the reason Batman is so buff is that he's a lot more brutal on the criminals than he was in his prime. Of course, you wouldn't know, considering you sound like you've only seen the Nolan films, no offense.

Arkham is in the novel, by the way. It's not called an asylum; if you look carefully on the office door when Dent is getting his surgery you'll see it says "Arkham home for the emotionally troubled", which fits in with the theme of opposite extremes presented in the book ("Help the crazy guy who's been violating the law and breaking people's arms!" "No, help his psychotic serial-killer villains!") I got this book on Friday and I really, REALLY like it.

When it came time to get a new loan for the incredibly pricey tuition, I couldn't get approved due to my insanely light credit history, and no family members could help either. So I'm not a total dipshit, and I've tried to get out of my rut a lot of times, it's just been tough. The toys help fuck me over, but we all have our vices, eh
