Yup! PJ Brown has been awesome in the postseason. And Pierce gets more points per shot than Kobe and with other scorers on the team I'd take Pierce over Kobe for efficiency and better defense.

People are forgetting that the Spurs had to spend tons of energy to get back against New Orleans. They ran out of energy against the Lakers. That's what doomed them. The Spurs had game one but they ran out of gas. They could have had game four but the referee screwed them. They were leading game 5 (In LA) but ran out of gas again. They were the road team in this series. If coaching mattered, then Jackson could have led the Lakers past the first round the past few years. Players count!

Yea man i agree that the lakers will win. I think they will finish in 6. To me it comes down to how LA's role players play. Clevelands problem was that no one stepped up w/ lebron passed the ball. LA plays such good team ball that i dont think the celtics and just focus on kobe and not let him inside. Even of they do force him to shoot jumpers he will hit them more consistently than lebron did. I just see the lakers role players and bench overrunning the celtics.

The Lakers are one the worst defensive teams in the NBA. The Celtics or Detroit would've had home court advantage in the finals. Paul Pierce has better games against the Lakers because he's pumped up. The Celtics have the best record against the Western Conference and they had to go through two of the best defensive teams in the league (Cleveland, Detroit). The Celtics blew the Lakers out at LA for the second time (on top of playing 4 games in 5 nights). Matchup problems. You will all see.

I think the celtics are getting too much credit for that final stretch, i mean the pistons were jacking up bad threes and missing easy buckets, and a ton of turnovers. I think detroit would have won if tayshaun wouldnt have made that huge mistake of turning his back. THe celtics just made their baskets when the pistons didnt. point guard matchup is big here too. Fisher has been guarding parker, iverson, and especially williams-- Rondo is going to be a walk in the park compared to what he's had to stop. Also, you forgot coaching-- what has Doc Rivers done? Phil Jackson has nine titles already which is insane, knows how to keep his composure and get his teams out of bad situations-- coming back from down 20 against the spurs & leaving the bench on in game 6 when the spurs were buliding a gap against LA. LA in six.

we'll see!! i do know that the Lakers have not faced a team defense like the Celtics'.. and i do know that the Celtics, no matter how good the Lakers play defensively, have too many offensive weapons for the Lakers to contain. we can stop Odom.. we can pretty much stop Pau Gasol and Fisher.. and we will do our best to contain Kobe, which is our main concern! the Lakers have 3 MAJOR scorers to worry about, not to mention Perk cleanin up underneath, and Rondo, IF he's aggressive!! so, we shall see

Posey got a more recent one, with the Heat! and he's a defensive minded player, so he knows the type of defense it takes to win championships. Sam Cassell also has a couple with Houston! haha! i know, 4ever ago! but still Finals experience! we'll see how much he plays though! he can post up Fisher, which he likes to do. soo.. yeah, the only advantage i give the Lakers is coaching, but it ultimately comes down to execution of the right plays! and good TEAM DEFENSE, spoils offensive execution!! ;)
