  • where did you get your green screen?

  • Can you make a person grow from a miniature height to a height much taller than your normal height?

  • @iluvozzy2006 In Final Cut that would be easy, but it would require a little more work in iMovie. The basic concept is the same: shoot green screen then edit.

  • @MattsMacintosh oh ok thank you

  • Hey Matt,

How did you do the thing with your mouse at 1:56? Is that your screen recording or is it Final Cut iMovie?

By the way, can you do a cloning tutorial for iMovie if you know how to??

    Thanks!

  • @Snc6475 imovie

  • Is this for 09? Don't get the the Ken Burns choice.. just Crop or Fit..

    Thanx

  • Hey Matt, do you know how I can blur out personal info in my videos with iMovie '11? thanks.

  • Will a blue screen work instead of green screen

  • @legoguy514 Yes. Make sure you choose the blue screen option when you place it in. I made a video about it, check out my channel! :)

  • Hi Matt!, I am a HUGE fan of your film making tutorials! I saw the videos you made and it inspired me! I have learned SO much from you! I have used final cut express 2.0 on my eMac for awhile. But seeing your video tutorials on YouTube I decided to buy Final Cut Pro 5 from Amazon.com. And just from watching this video I learned how to do Keyframing in FCP. It is very useful especially for special effects and music videos! Thanks!

Please check out the videos on my channel!

  • @techforever1 No problem, glad you like the videos.

  • @techforever1 Sign of the times. Final Cut 5? eMac? Final Cut Express 2.0? Wake up! :)

  • does imovie detect the greenscreen?

I tried what you did with a random video (no greenscreen) and i don't get the list of options you get when dragging a clip over another clip.

    HELP

  • @jsevs You need to go to imovie preferences and click on show advanced tools.

  • how did you get your dock to look like that?

  • @BlakeOBrien1

    1. Open up Terminal

    2. Type "defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean YES" and hit Return

    3. Type "killall Dock" and hit Return

    4. Quit Terminal

Now you have a 2d dock.

  • i have imovie hd on my powerbook, can it do this feature? :)

  • IMOVIE IS WAYYY MORE BADASS THEN I THOUGHT

  • Anybody know what the background is on his Mac?

  • Matt, I learned a lot from the green screen in iMovie. It helped me in a newscast we have to do in middle school. So, thanks Matt!

  • Can you please make a video on green screening tutorial, I've looked at soooooo many but can't get it right, I think you would explain it the best! :D

  • I like your wallpaper :O

  • How can i make a homemade greenscreen ? LOW BUDGET

  • @Andres95chava I actually bought mine off Amazon for just $30. You could always try and find a bright green bed sheet as well.

  • @MattsMacintosh Thanks haha i was thinking some dumb troll would insult me ! haha

  • @Andres95chava amother good way is bright green postreboard

  • @Andres95chava another good way is to ues bright green posterboard!

  • @Andres95chava I've made one for less than $5. Look on my channel.

  • i have Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere CS5 :)

  • Is that Final Cut Pro? Because you have so few filters, it looks like FCE to me...

  • @dermagicmax Its Pro (check out the name in the corner). I just don't use a lot of filters (or Final Cut in general) that often, so I don't have a lot installed.

  • do you have final cut pro or final cut express? And would you recommend that I get final cut?

  • @connymacbook look at the top left, it says final cut pro. lol

also I recommend Adobe Premiere Pro, its exactly like final cut.

  • @afterall30 FAIL, thanks for the advice :)

  • @connymacbook I have both, but I would only recommend them if you want to do some serious editing and effects. I've always said that iMovie can do 95% of what the average users wants.

  • Awww I only have Final Cut Express and iMovie, does it work for express??

  • what camera you use to shoot your videos?

  • @da3399jk T2i

  • Can you show us how to do it in Sony Vegas Pro 9 if you have it? That would be realy great!

  • @MyiPodReviewer FVP isn't or mac :(

  • @MyiPodReviewer use the pan/crop tool just search on youtube

  • How do you get iMovie to recognize your green screen footage as such?

  • @RandomGuyWeird you have to go to settings an enable advanced tools

  • @RandomGuyWeird At the top of iMovie, click it then click Perferences and select the option "Show Advanced Tools" then you will be able to do this.

  • FCP FTW!

  • i probably could do it on powerdirector 8

  • Can this be done with Sony Vegas Pro 9?

  • awesome Matt!, if i had iMovie :P
