It was wonderful to hear someone else lead this song. She has a sweet soprano voice, I dont think she let out enough! It is up to the choir to be strong when there is a strong soloist. In my opinon the choir was dragging a little. Although I am sure it sounded different live. Great listening.
The church has been renovated since this was done and the sound system is much better. The microphones were not properly working when this was recorded. Believe me when I say when this woman sings everyone is moved. She is a natural and a true child of God. It reflects in her singing. It is impossible not to be moved by her.
This church is blessed with beautiful singers and wonderul choirs.
Still, the soloist needs to realize that with a microphone she needs to learn vocal control. You can't just blare on the high notes, it pierces the ears. It would have worked out if she wasn't miked, but when the voice is magnafied, you can't sing as loudly. That or make adjustments in the sound booth.
I sang this song with my choir... I thought a pretty good job... everyone was crying. But... you my dear made me cry. Never stop singing.

Soloist is too loud and drowns out the choir. This song is ment to be song in harmony the whole time, not for the soloist to do all the singing.

You are wrong the sound was balanced to all in the church.The choir was not properly miked to be recorded. The vocalist had a microphone.
