What gets me is that you never hear this killer tune "Money"or "Jolly Green Giant" on any oldies radio station today! Both songs were Top 10 hits yet have been totally ignored for years! The Kingsmen rule!
My Guess is this was recorded when Barry Curtis was in the Army [vietnam]. I think it is JC Reick on Bass, and Peter Borg on Organ. This is the pre Up and Away LP lineup.

@longbeachguy1 Yes, I know that. I didn't explain myself very well. Once Mr Ely left the band, his vocals were still being lipsynced to by the new lead singer, until he was told to cease and desist. Did I say that right?
@kickassfan - luv this clip - every band had a version - but their opening to this song is the BEST - I had an old 8 track,the opening was even longer - THANKS for the vid

This is the group. They were BOSS for their era. Lip sync but truly a nugget of history for their era.

Do you know the lineup and the year and month? Lynn Easton is singing, Dick Peterson on guitar and the Parypa brothers? Is Berry Curtis on the organ?
chevydavehartwig 1 year ago
@chevydavehartwig Sorry, I don't. I guess it's from early 1966, but I don't see any Parypa brothers
SixtiesPopGold 1 year ago
@SixtiesPopGold Weren't the Parypa Bros with The Sonics?
515linda 1 year ago
@515linda Yes they were. I just thought that maybe they made a guest appearance, but there are certainly no Parypa brothers on this video.
SixtiesPopGold 1 year ago
@chevydavehartwig Oh, ok. I guess Mr Easton only lip-synced to Jack Ely's "Louie. Louie" and was told to knock it off.

Love the song, but, ummmm.......is that guy lip-syncing to the original lead singer's track? A Milli Vanilli moment.
515linda 1 year ago
@515linda - The whole clip is staged. If you hadn't noticed, the guitars are not plugged in and the drummer only has a snare.
