  • Not landing a ground blow was very cool of him. I hate seeing those hammer fists on limp bodies (only when you know they are completley out). Nice ko

  • and this slam made me a fan of him

  • I'm wondering why they released him. One loss. I'm not a fan but hes a worthy opponent and brings some serious power to a fight. Anyone get an answer from Dana White on this one?

  • @mdentari Dana released him because it was a terrible fight and he barely made any offense according to him

  • That is my bestfriends uncle I got to meet him today:)

  • FUCK ESPN.. they don't give 2 shits bout ufc or mma. they might play an exciting highlight once in a while, and mma live at 4am bi-monthly, but since NY hasnt sanctioned MMA as a sport (WTF?!??!), espn acknowledges MMA bout as much as lacrosse or water polo.

  • @jdailey01230 no they aknowledge lacrosse and water polo more...

  • theres better ko slams

  • And his arm was not on his Adams Apple, it was across his chest, blocking him from pulling him in close, Gerald is a master of slams, and he doesn't fight dirty

  • Gerald is a personal friend of mine, and an absolute blast to hang out with, Dana is a retard to have fired him

  • I've seen Gerald multiple times and even though he barely knows me he is always a class act to run into when I am out and about, nothing but nice things to say about the guy and I wish him the best in life. He deserves a shot at being something great in the MMA world.

  • i sometimes wonder how often people keep hitting after a ko in order to really damage someone...like, to take away a few years from their career on purpose...and how often it's just training making them throw more

  • dana's a douche for firing him after 1 loss...he was 3-1 in the ufc, like wtf?

  • @Ddap92 did you watch his last fight? He wasn't doing shit all he was scared to death to engage, fighters like that are bad for the business therefore get cut.

  • @Ddap92 if you watched the fight he lost you might agree with Dana white

  • This kid is a MW Rampage. I swear.

  • i love gerald harris. and that is true sportsmanship. i love to see that. hes playing to win, not to hurt his opponent

  • @dingaling3000 im sure hes not dumb hits to the back of the head are illegal for a reason too

  • in my opinion that was a dirty slam, and stuff like this should not be allowed. For example, the tito ortiz slam ko over evan tanner, tito was not trying to make his head drive down on evan's chin, it just happened. However when david branch jumped on on Gerald, Harris put his forearm on the adam's apple of branch, making sure that when he slammed his opponent, the first thing to hit the mat would be the back of Branch's head, and that is bullshit

  • @MMAFan6666 Well jumping guard is just begging to be slammed

  • @RajmanGamingHD true, and its not a very smart tactic with someone like Gerald Harris. But what Gerald did was bullshit, he purposely slammed him on the back of his head, thats why gerald put his forearm on this guys throat, he slammed while pushing on Branch's adam's apple forcing his head to be the first thing to hit the mat, which is just as bad as a spike to me, not taking anything away from gerald btw... just a rule that should be made in the UFC and all of MMA to protect fighters

  • @MMAFan6666 Branch jumped guard, what else should have Harris done? Slam is the best answer to that, and he couldnt excatly slam him without Branch landing on the back of his head...so does that mean Harris shouldnt have and instead stay in danger being in his guard? If you're getting slammed on your back then theres the possibility that your head may hit the ground to, it happens in takedowns to, just dont put yourself in a position that may lead to you getting slammed on your head.

  • @MMAFan6666 your an idiot, if u put yourself in tht position get ready for the consequences, its a fight, and if ur gonna put another fighter in danger of a loss, then get ready for tht person to do something extreme to get out of it

  • @AydaisAy Im not the idiot , you're just fucking retarded and probly a dumb hick, as i said before he shouldnt be putting himself in that position read next time u dumb fuck

  • @RajmanGamingHD Agreed, shouldn't have pulled guard.

  • how could they release gerald harris??????????????

  • its fuckedup he got kicked out the ufc after losing once

  • @vespaman101 it iz he won 3 out 4 all by tko when he lose 1 fight by decision he gets kicked off thts bs

  • I think harris was scarred of Falceo

  • now branch are going to lose to another harris, rousimar "paul harris"palhares

  • Great slammer

  • I think that Harris getting cut was probably a good thing, cuz I think he'll essentially "Chris Lytle" himself and come back to the UFC more exciting... Not that he wasn't exciting as hell in the first place!

  • Not that I completely agree with the cut, but he didn't even try to bring the fight in the third against falcao when he knew he was down 2 rounds. With the merger of the WEC guys it's getting a bit more cutthroat these days.

  • No way, this guy got cut??? I mean he was never a BIG favorite of mine, but I always thought he put on a good show.

  • not punching when he saw his opponent being KO'ed shows what a sportsman he is. Too bad that Dana White cut him with 3-1 (recently, not to mention Bonuses)

    Faack him!

  • @xolloy01 yeah i really didnt get that decision i respect dana mainly agree with his decisions tbf but that one :S

  • @IanJamesG yeah, also, Falcao just didn't do much in 2nd+3rd rounds.

But i read in the news that Officials screwed up with the time and when Gerald tapped, 1st round didn't even end.

  • @xolloy01 yeah i was watching that fight thought it ended early and if you time it it ends far too early. I think he got cut because of the whole issue with fighters not fighting and he was a lower name fighter who could be made an example of.

  • @IanJamesG oh man, that's problematic. I see other 1-D wrestlers who safely LayNPray on the opponent to take 10-9 Rounds to Decision Win,

i thought Gerald tried to fight, and thus got so many FOTN/KOTN awards.

Goddamn Dana, i hope he regrets this.

  • @xolloy01 Yeah he could have done big things..

  • eliot marshal, harris and kimbo were cut after 1 loss in the ufc guess what color lol

  • @stylezNout I noticed, and there aren't a lot of afrikan american fighters in the ufc..

  • @stylezNout ya todd duffee got cut after one loss too not just black people racist

  • @destroyer919 yea because the dude was bitching about his pay and talking shit about the UFC, thats asking to get cut

  • Brutal slam followed by loving kindness.

  • Normally I don't like to bring up race but when you see Dana keeping guys like Bonnar, Tyson Griffen, Phil Baroni, Hague, Gabe Ruedigar, Etc... These guys all suck. Then he cuts Harris? If it's not race then what? Phil Baroni will gas in 60 secs his next fight yet Dana praises him. Look up the vid of Dana putting the belt on Cain's waist after he destroyed Brock. He was pissed. By the way, I'm white & think people use race too much but I really don't think a white guy would get cut so quickly.

  • @johnnyu3 todd duffee

  • @JaxonsMom11 todd duffee was cut for talking shit about the UFC. It had nothing to do with his fights. He was saying how the UFC dosen't pay him shit. Big difference there.

  • Can't believe dana white cut him? Why? Gerald proved to be a decent fighter who went after it. Just because he had a bad showing against the brazilian who held on to that choke for 2 extra seconds. How come Tito Ortiz can lose 4 fights and still be with the UFC while Harris proved to be way more exciting than Tito and had a 3-1 record following this past saturday night. WHAT A FUCKING DOUBLE STANDARD. Shame on you dana white. WAKE THE FUCK UP

  • @GomavsGo05 harris should have been submitted in round 1. if you haven't seen the news yet, a mistake with the time cut the first round around 6 seconds short, with the choke falco had in harris would have been out cold. I disagree with ufc releasing dana, but don't blame falco for that fight. harris just didn't perform and was outclassed.

  • @phsfootball0692

didn't know there was a time error? source please?

  • @GomavsGo05 youtube wont let me link anothr site, so just google falcao time error and you'll get many hits. some may have a video.

  • Dana White is a big, fat, bald, ugly, and smelly fucking Kike. I hope that Hitler's ghost comes down and steals that fucking Jew's money, business, and puts him in a fucking oven. Go fuck yourself Dana. Seig Heil.

  • dana white biggest asshole

  • Fuck Dana White, you can go suck a dick

  • @rattsnakeratt haha if you enjoy watch 2 fully grown men going round in cirles not fighting keep harris if not harris can get to fuck! you have to remember dana is setting an example cause they just merged with the wec and people paid a lot of money to sit ringside to watch that shit.

  • HOW MANY UFC FIGHTERS HAVE HAD THEIR KNOCKOUT ON ESPNS TOP 10?

The UFC's stupid for releasing him after 1 loss.

  • To bad the UFC just cut him because he lost one fight by decision...

  • And now Gerald isn't with the UFC anymore. Fucking sucks.

  • anytime anybody jumps guard while in a standing position it just looks extra gay & you usually get slammed so I dont feel bad for him

  • MAIQUEL FALCÃO WIN

  • @mpd1doguetto

almost HARRIS barely escaped round 1

  • @mpd1doguetto

HARRIS got out of round 2

he need s tko or ko or he losses though cuz FALCAO spanked him 2 rounds

  • That's because there are few martial artists that maintain the same discipline and philosophy they're taught from the beginning. Not for profit, not for self interest, but to prove they are better than an their selves before and that any obstacle that is put forth in front of them can be conquered by means of will / ambition. Which is the very essence that defines a true martial artist. Whether or not they can abstain from being emotionally overtaken by something.

  • if you actually watch the replay from another angle geralds forearm was across his throat which probably greatly helped him get the ko. amazing slam

  • To answer the people who don't understand fighters following up: I think it's a good thing in most scenarios because they don't know the other fighter is knocked out. In a few cases they do and this is one of them because of the nature of knockout. Other fights, such as the Dan Hardy vs Carlos Condit fight, he knocked him out with one punch, but sometimes the ground wakes the fighter up, so he followed up with a few punches and confirmed the knockout. It goes both ways.

  • @bttrflyscar1 Exactly. +1

  • you dont see too many guys stop after ko'ing some1 in the ufc. most guys keep pounding their face to make it look "badass". gerald harris=cool & sportsmanlike hope he makes a run for the title.

  • lol this isnt baseball but we have a grad slam for you hes gonna cry 2morrow

  • gerald harris is from america isn't he? if so how come the fight card for his next fight says canadian?

  • Anyone ever found it weird that you can't hit someone in the back of the head in the UFC, but slamming them on to the back of their head is okay?

  • @ookamiwarrior for starters he didn't slam him "on" his head. He landed on his back but the force made his head whiplash and hit the mat hard enough to knock him out and possibly knock the wind out of him. And hitting someone in the back of the head with, for example an elbow can cause serious injury/death.

  • was it a head to the chin, fist or the canvas behind his head that did it?

    prob all three ..

    ouch

  • Nice!!

  • I WAS SOOO HAPPY WHEN THIS HAPPENED... i hate Branch after watching that fight... he deliberately cheated by holding on to the fence kind of sneaky he 100% grabbed is and made a fist so it looked like he was just pushing on it with his fist. them herb dean saw it and made him let go, but then he did the exact same thing right away and herb had no idea because it was hard to tell unless you were outside the ring... joe rogan saw it and was just like....wow....wow he must be desperate

  • This was the slam heard around the country.Rampage Jackson's slam on Ricardo Arona was the slam heard around the world.

  • Props to Gerald for the win and not hitting Branch when he clearly was out.....good look for MMA

  • DAVE IM OK IM OK HOLY SHIT SLAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

  • Nice to see Gerald holding back on the punches when KO'ing someone unlike some of the other fighters.

  • @SCR1V5CCFC i completely agree, i dont get the poeple who just keep hitting the guy while hes out cold when they know the ref is coming to stop it

  • @TheSgreen12 their roid rage and other emotional problems all come out. smarter fighters like harris and jon jones don't seem to have this problem. they'll be the ones with great careers.

  • @00firebird ah i wouldnt say roid rage, but i do think they get in the zone and dont know when to stop

  • @TheSgreen12 only person i ever agreed with the extra hit was when hendo koed bisping.

  • @ziccoo123 hahaha i was actually thinking about that when we were having this conversation. i literally thought dan had killed him and bisping was dead.

  • @TheSgreen12 - Although you are right, it was a guilty pleasure to watch Dan Henderson give Bisping an extra tap or two.

  • @TheSgreen12 you ever fought before? it hardly registers that they're out. The guys who throw extra shots usually aren't even aware they're doing it, not all the time, but most of the time.

  • @TheSgreen12 When your in the cage many guys have a sense of killing the guy until the ref stops them. It's the only way to make sure. Plus your just in the moment and testosterone is pumping

  • @TheSgreen12 super nice!!!! good sports man

  • @TheSgreen12 sometimes they do it out of instinct..most fighters are told do keep hittin until the ref stops, first time in a long time i seen a fighter recognise a ko and not keep hittin was at ufc 127 when mark hunt ko'd chris tauscher. fuck it its all part of the sport

  • @TheSgreen12 you adrenaline is pumping. Trust me, you just don't stop when you knock someone out.

  • @TheSgreen12 have you heard of TKOs retarded piece of moralfag dipshit?

  • @TheSgreen12 Like in boxing they are trained to fight until the bell rings. If the bell doesn't ring don't stop fighting.

  • @TheSgreen12 Its called adrenaline dude you wouldn't know about it though because your not a fighter, so stop talking shit.

  • @TheSgreen12 because the reff doesnt always stop it. You cant wait for the reff or he could recover.

  • @TheSgreen12 because those bitch ass fagggots deserve to die if they punch you

  • @SCR1V5CCFC It's called having "killer instinct" your not supose to stop until the ref stops ya. People have looked like they have been done and turned around to win the fight.

  • @Bashallequally

No it's called having respect for your opponent.

Take Shogun vs. Machida II for example...Shogun KO'd Lyoto and once he knew he was unconcious he got up and walked off the ref didn't even have to stop it.

  • @SCR1V5CCFC We shall agree to disagree.

  • @Bashallequally

    fair enough

  • @Bashallequally yeah thats bullshit. no one is going to stop and then the other guy get up and knock him out.

  • @Bashallequally there is a difference between killer instinct and hitting someone who is already out. look at rampage vs wanderlei. rampage though a punch while the referee was pushing him away, do you really think he was doing it cause he thought wanderlei might get back up? he was doing it because of the hate between them.

  • @SCR1V5CCFC Too bad John Howard didn't extend the same courtesy in their fight

  • @SCR1V5CCFC It's not over til the ref stops it. Can't take a chance on the fella playing possum.

  • @SCR1V5CCFC i agree, but you gotta keep going until the ref stops it. It takes a very experienced fighter to know that someone is completely out. Sometimes you see people recover from these types of slams.

  • damn he slammed him in the guard and ko'd um.that must have hurt

  • Absolutely great slam!!!

Great sportsmanship from Harris because he stops immidiately when he was out from the slam.

  • Nice sitdown powerbomb wwe style

  • " He gone need ah big aspirin after that one"

  • gerald is a beast! i finally got to meet him through my boy hog. one humble dude. keep up the ass kickin bro! straight to the top of syder mountain!

  • Gerald Harris is too good and too much fun... they need to get him into UFC Undisputed 2010 as a download or something!

  • YEAH this boy from the Bronx was talking trash and he got what the shirt says SLAMMED !!!! Much love yo bro TEE BAGG tulsalivn4life

  • Thats my coach! get em coach Harris
