Also you can record using a DAW with it - I use Reaper - run Jamvox, pick a preset you like, minimize it and run Reaper - select JAMVOX as your input and Voila' - it'll record it fine! I also use it as an interface in any DAW - close Jamvox - run DAW and select Jamvox as your input once again then load any Ampsim, Head and Cab or whatever - makes a great 24-bit interface.
Hey everyone, i have a question. i want to get one of these but i have a couple concerns. i have windows vista 32 bit dual core would i have the popping and clicking problems? also on vox's jamvox website they recommend disabling the wi-fi and virus protection? does this mean the virus protection built into the vox or the anti-virus program installed on my computer. thanks for any info/help.
can I use this device like audio interface to record via asio driver in cubase, logic, sonar or something like that, if yes can I send the signal processed to the daw ?
This was a great item until I upgraded to new computer with windows 7. That is when a memory leak began with this. After months of waiting VOX has yet to issue an updated driver. I would say stay away from this thing. It currently is just a big paperweight on my desk.
This looks totaaly awesome. I just wanna know if the interface itself (where you plug the guitar in) can be used as an audio input so I could use it with DAWs.
So... is it possible to just record your guitar work alone on the JamVox, giving it super good quality? I need that for recording my music :P I have the beat from another program, so is it possible to just record a guitar sequence, extract it and put it into my song? (Im usually putting my songs together on Sony Vegas...) So just extracting the great quality guitar soloes recorded on JamVox and putting it into Vegas should be possible? :O Need answer please! :O
@fenderman21guitar the difference would be that you talk big when you know there is no fear of you being punched in the face try being a smartass to someone whilst not behind a keyboard.
and what the fuck does grammar have to do with it, this is YOUTUBE , you arent tested for your spelling skills then again i suppose that makes you feel even better about yourself knowing your using better punctuation than everyone else. what an achievement.
yes and alot , because even if you have the best one the sound poor and it has bad quality. I dont really recommend this software because it can burn your soundcard
@Constrictor87 Yes it does. but the monitor included in the package is an USB soundcard on itself. but it also depends on your PC. if you are planning to buy guitar software. you'd better read a lot over the sowtare and cpu usage. otherwise it can turn out to be an missbuy
Anyone know if you HAVE to buy the hardware, or can you just buy the software and use it to save/export WAV files of songs without the guitar parts for use in other applications? Its not addressed on the site and without a purchase first, no support.
I had this for 3 weeks. Gave it back to the store today and got my money back. A real piece of crap. Please people do not believe in the GXT!!! It does not work..
Great tool I use it with all my students. When you record its like overdubbing, that is recording your guitar part on top of a backing track that's already playing - its not really designed as a multitrack recorder where you can alter individual levels and do equalisation for recording drum machines, keyboards, bass and guitars etc. But is a great bit of kit for playing along and learning guitar.
a lot of songs you can hold a good chromatic tunner up to the speaker and especially if you slow it down you can get the chords to figure out the key. Often the tunner will just show the key quickly. Thats one way to figure out keys
Probably works with any computer made in the last few years. However, the older/less powerful your computer is, the more issues you may have with latency. Check the official JamVox webpage for minimum system requirements.
Bought Jamvox a few days ago and i'm pretty happy with it. Haven't been using GTX yet so can't really say about that. I have recorded backing tracks easily and record lead on top of them.
On the downside: it's not very loud but i got this instead of a prartice amp because my Gibson SG and Fender Frontman 100w amp was far too loud to play at home. Also the tracks that come on the CD sound a bit on the Cheesey sound for my taste.
1 question, is it possible to get the guitar AWAY, so u just hear the singing and the other instuments, so u can play yourself without the original guitar??
this is awesome. but is there a software that does this with not only vox but many other amps and fx pedals. and another question does this have loop repeat abilities and tempo adjustments im looking for a software alternative to a tascam MP-GT1
Well in short there are not a great deal of extraction programs but based on guitar variations etc i know line 6 have a pretty good line emulating les paul fender mashall etc sounds. Plus i do belive that you can change the tempo of songs using this system but i'm not too sure about looping i'm sure you could cut and loop tracks anyways afterwards if its any help :)
is that free ?

That seems to be the software for me:-) Can you save music files as wav or mp3? Also, can I import my own backing tracks to play along to?
One last thing, cost! How much in the UK?
Thanks

once again, your arguement is based on me being a 'faggot', even if I was a 'faggot' what difference would that make in this situation?
