It really depends on the person, the knowledge we have has taken years to develop. Many people in parkour rush into things doing big jumps (thinking that big gap jumps or big falls is only what parkour or freerunning is about) and that causes severe injury, the best way is to learn as much as possible and drill it until its second nature.
