Of course not, we just feed a couple of the smaller ones close to the bank. We were fished out so we feed them the dead minnows to see how close they would get and stick around.
Actually, it was in a Canadian Lake when I went there on a fishing trip. Apparently, there were always a couple hanging around the docks so we decided to feed them one day. Not very exciting, but still pretty cool.

theres always one or two small pike hanging in the brush by my dock and they are fun to watch when they start stalking the small baitfish

Just regular ole' freshwater minnows that they caught on the lake and then sold to us.

We caught plenty when we were there...this was more just for fun and for show. This was one of the smaller ones anyway.

Caught a couple hundred over the course of 5 days. So yeah, we caught a ton. The biggest were about 8 lbs. Such a good time.
