I was an Lds(mormon) for 40 years, and your concept about hell sounds mormon. Are you a mormon? Mormons dont trust the Bible very much. They also believe only a few people will go to hell(contradicts what Jesus said). That only "the real bad people" go there. Aside from however much the KJV translators used "hell" in the Bible, Jesus said much about hell anyway, so the translators translated it correct. Satan deceieved me as a mormon. I refuse to let him deceive me about the KJV too!

@bradfordpestservices NO, I'm not a Mormon, never fell for that. I feel sorry for them, so much stress on being perfect. As to your comment on what you THINK Jesus had to say about Hell, read the article "What Jesus said about Hell" on the tentmaker site. You might be surprised of how much of what you THINK He said is not in the Bible; it comes from the "traditions of men which make the word of God of no effect." Matt. 15:6-9

@tentmaker777 There's so many interpretations of scripture no telling whats right. You sound like you dont trust any Bible. If thats so,what is your source of truth?God is perfect, therefore He wouldnt give us His word and it not be perfect.All evidence and common sense proves that perfect word is the King James Bible.It wasn't until Wescott and Hort came around and started screwing with God's word did we start having problems.Satan knows all the tricks,and he'll use every one of them to deceive

original KJV was in 1611, not 1612. You're the first person I've seen that puts the KJV in the corruption list with the modern versions. So which Bible version is the best in your opinion?

@bradfordpestservices Yes, I know 1611 is the original. I have copies of pages from that Bible. But the page I held in my hand came from a 1612 King James Bible. I don't have a "best" translation to recommend. However, I have written two articles on that subject. If you type into google "The Best Bible Translation" and also "The Best Bible" and my name "Gary Amirault," you should be able to find both articles.

@bradfordpestservices I'll check it out, but one thing i look out for is false teachers as Christ warned about. False opinions, false "facts", etc. Not saying you're any of this, but a tool of satan is to make us doubt. If we cant trust the friggin KJV, where does that leave us?! I certainly dont know Hebrew or Greek so i guess i'd be a lost cause? Be careful sir! Jesus talked alot about hell being a real place and that many will go there. To deny that is to deny Jesus. Your view sounds mormon.

i hear you on the NIV. It is terrible. To call it a "thought for thought" translation is a bald faced lie. What are your thoughts on the ESV?

@mrm675 As far as the subject of Hell and everlasting punishment goes, the ESV is almost as bad as the NIV.
