A buddy of mine had Soundwave and not that I remember this perfectly... because this was 25 years ago... BUT I DO remember he used Soundwaves "batteries" as Pyle Drivers for Rumble. They hooked on his shoulders.

I think the reason they decided to not imprint on Lazerbeak because the wings are not flat. There is a border around the sticker that is a little higher if u know what I mean. But I think they should be able to still imprint it on some other way, unless it was done and bleeded off and was a mess.

Wow! That's good the stickers on Frenzy and Rumble are imprinted, because I hate how they curled in the original ones. I had to reglue it with crazy glue, and they still are a little off when transformed into cassette. I might get this set and sell the originals...Thumbs up!

Hasbro ALWAYS referred to the red and black tape as Rumble and the blue one as Frenzy. I don't believe either one had those names in the Microman line. It was the G1 cartoon, produced by Sunbow, that switched the names.

The box actually names them the old/japanese/"correct" way. Clock wise from the top left says "Frenzy", "Rumble", "Over-Kill" and "Condor" in the yellow boxes and black lettering. I think the black boxes with white lettering say "Cassette-Ron". just random fyi I guess :)

Overkill was in the cartoon Call of the Primertives even if it was a 13 second apperance. I love the cassete transformers my Rumble is so old his leg is ready to fall off so i use the plastic case to display him. Great review Paul Merry Christmas.

Actually when the Hasbro toys first came out, the Blue one was Frenzy and the Red one was Rumble. Even in the Marvel Comic the Blue one is Frenzy and the Red one was Rumble. The confusions all started with the Cartoon but in the comics and the toy sheet, Frenzy was Blue and Rumble was Blue.

If it's any consolation, I can read the Japanese names off of the cards and it says that the blue one is in fact Frenzy, and the red is Rumble. And "Laserbeak" is Condor.

But yeah, I actually think it was less Hasbro in the mix-up and more the animators. Because if I recall correctly, the toys were also named that way here in America, but they were switched in the cartoon. Or rather, the script read "Rumble" and the animators colored the guy blue.

i used to have a lazer beak but it got lost when i accidentally dropped it in the goodwill bag without noticing and it was really posable too. wings move up and down, feet move up, down and rotate. and head moves up down and rotates and it can stil transform into the cassette. got it at a garage sale with a decepticon dinobot wich is also lost as well. i was a little kid then so give me some slack.
