Hi my name is Mark and I am Brazilian and I want to thank you for posting this tutorial and I also want to ask that if you pass this sheet music please
Awesome, I love it! Could you be so kind to upload a tutorial? I would really like to learn how to play it (though my piano does not have the same kind of sound... unfortunately)
I think it's almost a little better than your Obliviate-Cover (which is REALLY great and it's very hard to top it). And even if it's just 'borrowed', the way you made it fit together is awesome. :)
Wow, this sounds so amazing! I'm listening to this over and over again, and everytime I close my eyes and then I see Harry, Ron and Hermione growing up. It's fantastic how you made this!
I'm not usually a fan of electric piano at all, but this sounds really cool. What kind is it? How do you get that bell-like echo sound? I do love this variation and the way it moves through the different moods, especially the resolution at the end which is bittersweet.
@Chocolateluvr1987 It's a combination of bright grand piano and rhodes-type electric piano. The bell-like sound is a result of tapping the keys lightly. If you hammer the keys roughly, it will sound more distorted. Thanks!
@gbacani I read that in your explanation, but I still don't understand. A "normal", non-electric piano (obviously I'm generalising here) doesn't sound like that if you tap the keys likely, at least none that I've ever encountered. I don't really have any experience with electric pianos, so I don't quite understand how that works. I want this sound.
@Chocolateluvr1987 Well an acoustic piano would not sound like that, of course. It's just like saying that an acoustic guitar doesn't sound like an electric guitar. I'm not sure how it works, technically. But since it's an electronic instrument, it just has that effect/capability.
@gbacani I know it wouldn't, I just reiterated the point to explain what I didn't understand about the blending of the sounds. Basically, what I'm asking is whether the electric piano has this one sound, or if it's a sort of setting like on a keyboard? It may be a stupid question to you, but again, I've never actually played an electric piano. I'm just curious.
@Chocolateluvr1987 Yes, that particular instrument (electric piano 2) on my digital piano (Yamaha ARIUS YDP-160) has that particular property where the intensity of the force applied to the keys will vary its sound texture. I simply chose that instrument, no other special settings were done to contribute to that property. I did combine it with 'grand piano 2' but this does not contribute at all to that particular property. Look up some "rhodes piano" performances here on YT.
@sterRobbie Hi. On the video response section, ARKProductions20 posted a tutorial with a link to a midi file. I suppose you could convert the midi file to sheet music. Hope that helps.
Excellent work, I haven't heard the real song :P but regardless what you played was great, and I don't know much about how music is made so all I have is props but no advise, if any was needed (And I think it's not)
Can you do a sheet for this?
