i feel this song is the best one becuz everyone can relate to it and im not just saying that becus my bf said that to me :) ily jake but there is alot ot say about trapt and their music to much just to say in this tiny box idk why i love this song but everytime i listent to it i fall more in love with the band and theyre songs :))) I LOVE TRAPT!!!
@randomchickk78 Everyone can relate to it. Everyone has the ups and downs of relationships, this song perfectly describes every feeling you can ever have, much like most Trapt songs do. Trapt, ftw :D
Does anyone know how Chris sings edgier in the chorus where he says "Let go, let go, let go"? Or at least know what that's called? I wanna do that! This is my fav trapt song btw.
@thundermaster77 --Side note: Personally, it's probably my favorite all-time Trapt song as well. I know what you're talking about, but I haven't a clue at the same rate hahahaha.
Lol generic? I'm curious how you think they are generic. I mean, you're entitled to your opinion. But their lyrics are always true to the heart about real problems and real emotion... and the instrumentals of every song always fits wonderfully...
Well they should have had more patience with their other songs especially on "someone in control" in my opinion becasue the stuff on that record is genious. Even though in my opinion all of their stuff is. Shame about ormandy leaving though. He has a good unique sound to his guitar playing which made trapt more Epic? or maybe more invigourating.
Ormandy can't be replaced, because of his speed and skills on playing the guitar with heavy and hearty riffs.
However, Robb Torres, the new guitarist, is a great young fit for the band with just as good, if not better, skills at playing... and his heart is completely there. Simon lost the heart to play over time...
what makes me mad is that the media was all over Trapt for their most overplayed song (headstrong) and then after that they ditched em. WTF?!?! This band has a whole crapload of amazing songs, like this one lol. Trapt is awesome :D
You are absolutely right, and what people seem to forget is that their latest album was not only a chart-topper the week it entered in, but the singles "Still Frame", "Echo", and "Stand Up" all were within the top 20 on many, many rock and mainstream charts.
In fact, besides "Headstrong", "Still Frame" was their other song that stayed at #1 for awhile... but people tend to just collectively "forget", and that pisses me off.
who cares how many hits they have?! If u are fan, then u dont search them on TV or radio....U just like them...ofcorse, if u arent another 13 yo teenager who pics band from MTV, and thinks that only there u find truely good bands LOL.
Lmfao you know everytime I've watched this video I've NEVER caught that. Nice catch! He's just like that live, its great to see someone who loves music so much having fun.
lol its pretty cool that he does that, even on the song Waiting (one of their best songs EVER!!!) he started doing something funny in the beginning, im trying to find interviews of Chris, so far i only found Simon and Monty, im sure they are a good band to hang with, although Simon...idk, Simon seemed alittle big headed, idk, i just hope Robb Torres does what he can, although in Only Through The Pain he already proved that lol
Lol yeah... well Robb is a great guy, I've met him personally too.
Simon is kinda big-headed. When Simon left, I was a little upset... but it's obvious he wasn't really for Trapt. I mean the riff's coming from his guitar were excellent, but his heart wasn't fully in them just because they had creative differences and he was a bit ego-high.
lol yea i figured u had a better opinion of it all, i mean hell u've met these guys like how many times?? 5? somethin liek that u said but its cool that Robb is like that, oh btw i have a question and this is nothing against Trapt, its always something i've wondered about each band i've heard, are the members of Trapt Christian? im not discriminating, its just a curious question adn i was wondering if u might've known
Yeah I've met the guys about 4 or 5 times and hung out with them for hours before and after shows, they're great guys. I see them next month on the 1st here... but as far as I know the guys are catholic or catholic christian, but not so sure it really influences their music such as say Creed's religion influenced their music..
lol wish i saw Trapt 5 times but i dont think they tour in Louisiana, and i see now, yea i dont think it influenced their music either, i havent noticed anything in their lyrics like Creed and Linkin Park (and believe it or not, Linkin Park's songs as said by Mike Shinoda himself, some of them are influenced by faith) but thanks for telling me this cuz it disproves that Trapt has a myspace, it said they were not sure of their orientation adn it said they were buddhists!! i was like wtf man!?
Hahaha Trapt's official MySpace is pretty much non-existant. They took it down since they started the OTTP website, which is WAY better than MySpace Music sites.
Just rebrought this album for the third time...Its that good, you can actually listen to the whole cd from the beginning to the end and like every song. How was their 2nd album? I don't wanna buy it and it be bad and i lose all interest in the band because of the sophomore album blues...
Seriously, you'd love the 2nd and even the 3rd album... the 2nd one is "Someone in Control", and the 3rd which just came out August 5th, 2008, is called "Only Through the Pain"...
hey DarkKnight, ur a big fan of Trapt obviously, any ideas when they might release their next album, the first 2 were great, 3rd one it seems they went alittle soft, idk, maybe cuz the band was going through something, but do u know anything about a 4th album? im tryin to search around, u got any leads?
Technically the 3rd album was their "Live!" album, that had 2 hard rockin' singles on it..the "4th" album, Only Through the Pain, was JUST released August 5th, 2008..so like they haven't even begun writing their new album yet, in fact they're still touring for OTTP..OTTP is a GREAT album, but you have to listen to each song about 5 times before they all start getting etched in to your mind and you start loving them. Wasteland, Curiosity Kills, Cover Up, and Black Rose are the best off that album
alright i guess thats reasonable lol, and OTTP? didnt know that, and the songs ur talkin about, what're they called? and the songs Wasteland, Curiosity Kills, Cover Up and Black Rose are the best ones, but its like they went in a totally different direction with the music, like some of their songs, Curiosity Kills had an AWESOME bridge but then the chorus came and to me it was disappointing, but Wasteland and Cover Up are the best, i hope do better on the next album, i know they can do better
OTTP = Only Through The Pain... but Curiosity Kills is the best song off the album... it's their closest sound to "Headstrong"... trust me, it's been rated the best song on the album... Cover Up is aswell.
You gotta remember this is the first full new album on a new label as well. When they were on Warner Records, they were VERY limited with the shit they could do. This lets them experiment, which is actually better! "Who's Going Home With You Tonight?" did EXCELLENT on the charts so far.
i guess ur right, i did always think of OTTP as more of an experiment album, they did do different things in it, but Curiousity Kills still doesnt hit home with me, but ur probly right, it will get a good rating, hell Who's Going Home with You Tonight has already hti majorly
Yeah, haha... I think it'll do well. I think the more you listen to the album the more it'll grow on you, but that's okay! Rather listen to it more and like it more then listen once and get bored easily.
yea true that man, but im hoping their 5th will sound almost like their 2nd cuz to me the 2nd album is a true side of Trapt, i dont give a damn what the critics say but im pretty sure that 5th album will blow everyone's minds about Trapt, there are more people who hate Trapt than i thought and its kinda retarded what they say man, i dont even think they know what they're talkin about lol
Well some people don't hate them but are just like "man they blow they only had one hit", when in all reality they have hits on the radio right now that they probably heard already and just didn't know it was Trapt!... the few that hate Trapt hate how hard they rock, that's pretty much it, lol.
lol yea Headstrong i think was their biggest but Still Frame and Echo had a pretty damn close run, plus Stand Up was a great one too, and i think Waiting was alittle popular as well, and if those Trapt haters hate how hard they rock and they call themselves rockers, they deserve a good case of ass woopin lol
Still Frame and Echo did just as well on the charts, and Stand Up I think did just as good as well. I wouldn't have said it better, haha... They deff deserve an ass whoopin'...
