  • thank you for this, our Elders quorum teacher had us view this at home and the spirit testified to me, my wife made fun of me because I cried!

    Las Vegas

  • Jesus Christ lives and is my Savior and Redeemer. I know this, in large part, because of Joseph Smith, the Mormon Prophet.

  • i love this church

  • @qpizza123 Me too!

  • This music is August Rush's Rhapsody written by Mark Mancina.

  • @jadampreisscore Any LDS on here care to clear up myths/facts on mormon doctrine?

  • @Irishtupperware I well clear up myths/facts for u.

  • @Irishtupperware

Happily....please let me know what some of your questions are.

  • @Irishtupperware Ask away. PM me if you want to get longer, more personal replies.

  • @jadampreisscore Thanks. Love this music.

  • still my favorite

  • No evil comes from this faith. I am clean in the eyes of God... in the eyes of Christ... in the eyes of my fellow man. The church is of God.

  • Truly amazing and very touching. Thank you so much!

I also wanted to ask you if you could tell me which movies you used in your video. See, my family went to Nauvoo about four or five years ago, and we saw this movie their that we really liked. It ended with the Prophet Joseph Smith saying "O Lord, my God!" It looked a lot like the last half of your video did. If you could tell me, that would be great!

    Thanks again!

  • Come judgement day God will condemn you for the hatred and crimes committed in his name

  • @eademe

    FAIRLDSdotORG

and research the truth about the Prophet Joseph Smith

  • hey que cansion es esta?

    diganme porfa.

    hey what song is this?

  • homerun.

  • Gods Kingdom, to those not of the covenant, is like a house whose master is gone. Many peer into it while the master is away. They search around looking into all windows. But because they look into a house without light, they can't determine what is inside. Losing interest, they leave. When the master returns with guests to his house, he turns on the light. He and all they who are with him are able to move freely throughout the house and the contents there in are seen by all who have enter in.

  • Most Christians Ignore parts of the bible conveniently... if it suits their own purpose. They can have one scripture on one hand that "promises latter day prophets" and in the same breath say, "We should not trust him" based on another New Testament Verse. The Law of Opposites suggests you can't have one without the other. For there to be a false prophet, there must already be a true one. Without the Villain, the Hero can not appear!

They use about 10% while we use 100% of the Bible...

  • thank you so much for this beautiful video =)

  • On a recent Tuesday morning, on-shift docents waited in their appointed room for the call to duty, to jump into action. Most of the docents on this particular shift were middle-aged women. In talking to them, two things readily become apparent: they savor each other's company, and they place a premium on participating in the yeoman service of being a docent at the Church History Museum.

  • "His characters are always very true to life, and the kids think, 'He must be a real pioneer — he doesn't have his arm!' "

Ensconced behind an exhibit on the Church History Museum's second floor is a locked door innocuously labeled "Volunteers." The door leads to a small rectangular room where docents muster for duty.

  • this is an amazing video!!

  • "My wife and I love the promise of David O. McKay about BYUHawaii, and are true believers and partakers of his promised blessings," Ogderel said. "From my experience and others who have gone to BYUHawaii, I think that the education and experience at BYUHawaii will help any person for better no matter how long he or she was there. It will help them to get good jobs and will help them to understand different cultures ... they will be better instruments in the Lords hands."

  • It's always interesting how angry the truth makes people.

Jesus Christ similarly brought out the most evil, wicked and violent emotions in those people deceived and encouraged by Satan himself.

Why would it be any different with the beloved Prophet Joseph Smith?

  • The wicked take the truth to be hard...

  • Lol people believe the story of this Joseph guy, religion really blind people to see logic.

  • Interesting video

  • From that singular experience and others, the Prophet Joseph bore witness, The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as mans; the Son also

  • that would be the most awesome thing to see God and his son standing there. The most awesome thing it would be. better than anything you can imagine!

  • I am so grateful for this Gospel. striving to do our best is all that God asks of us, when we strive to do this great things happen in our lives. I am so grateful for this church, and that we have that true authority that a physical person holds to act in God's name!

  • Dear brother.

this is my favorite video of the prophet.

Can you post it with HD quality?

    I would be eternally grateful

  • I loved your cut (edition). Loved the soundtrack.

AND I KNOW THAT JOSEPH SMITH WAS A PROPHET!

BECOUSE GOD SENT ME THE HOLY GOST.

    Grettings from, Brazil

  • Hey lds9999 do you ever wonder why people even waste there time on posting comments that include profanity on a site like this? I'm lds, I'm a 14 year old and seriously people who do that are just disappointing.

  • Funny how no one seemed to think so on the actual video, huh?

Last I remember, you left the discussion.

But feel free to count up your own wins if no one else will for you. :)

  • Oh, I get it. Are you still upset because people told you that you got owned on that other video?

  • What a strange comment, 1llaforhim.

  • this is a FEATURED video =)

  • Why do we have to put up with this BS on this site. Please keep it on your own cult channel.

  • We're everywhere!

  • who are you referring to?

  • Mat 24:24

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

  • Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secrets unto his servants the prophets.

  • dale: it is laughable if you think a pretext spoken by the OT prophet Amos somehow lendsany validity to modern day lds prophets. Hebrews 1:1-2 God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Hebrews chapters 6-10 crush the lds notion of latter day prophets, apostles and lds priesthood. Today-priesthood of all saved.

  • Actually Hebrews fortifies our position of the LDS and shows clearly that the priesthood of Mechezidek of Christ is found to men that are ordained. And it really crushed all integrity of the evangelical christian and exposes its underbelly and transparency for all to see.

  • And what are your sources for this?

  • So you don't believe in the charge given to Peter to go into all the world and preach the gospel? You don't believe in Paul's charge to do missionary work and testify of Christ? The first duty of an Apostle or Prophet is to witness that Jesus is the Christ, to teach His true Doctrine. That ofted mis-understood scripture in Hebrews does not negate Eph 4:11-14, or Eph 2:19, that testify that Prophets and Apostles are central to Christ's church...

  • ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,John 3: 16

  • if god can speak to others then why cant he speak to Joseph Smith? i dont believe it but other cults, i mean religions cant judge.

  • every religion is just a successful cult. Religions try to play middleman between you and god like they've got a monopoly on him. Why not just Cut out the middleman and save 10% of your income?

  • yes indeed

  • Now you're not even allowing me to post replies, lds9999? Well, I guess that's par for the course; the truth makes it hard for cults to survive, right? ;-)

  • Every single one of your replies has included profanity. Check my profile -- I don't allow vulgarity or profanity in the comments.

  • The BS (pardon me "LIES") that Joseph Smith told in the process of dreaming up this cult don't deserve to be called anything OTHER than what they are.

  • lol i agree

  • agreed...

  • Church members gather around Elder Jeffrey R. Holland in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon, at the site where he dedicated the African nation for the preaching of the gospel during his tour of Africa.

  • "These people are so given to faith. I've often thought that perhaps the Lord in His justice, mercy and outreach made up for what they don't have in material blessings by giving them an extra measure of spiritual blessing and insight."

  • "I want the Saints to know that Africa is one of the bright, beautiful emerging frontiers of the Church," he said. "It sounds ominous sometimes just to hear the word 'Africa' because we think of dangers. Like any other place there can be dangers, but for the Church and the members it is one highlight after another, one bright spot after another.

  • Elder Holland's travels wound down with a district conference Aug. 29-30 for the Mutare Zimbabwe District. He subsequently returned to Salt Lake City Aug. 31 after more than two weeks in the field.

  • But the prophet who shall speak a word presumptuously in My name which I have not commanded him to speak, or which he shall speak in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.And you may say in your heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken? When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not come about or come true, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him,Deut. 18:20-22

  • HE IS A PROPHET OF GOD

  • Comment removed

  • As far as I am aware, Jesus never mentioned joining a church. He atlked about the Gospel and the docrrine of consecration. As the Mormon Church is only 10% on the way to consecration, I think we can take any of their sermons with a pinch of salt. They have a lot of growing up to do.

  • Christianity is confused but boy you mormons sure take the cake? You people actually believe this stuff??

  • Yes, I do believe it. What parts do you think are confusing?

  • The part where people actually believe this stuff.

  • Are there specific beliefs you find hard to believe?

  • Yes all of it. I really am just trolling and there is no point in conversation. I completely disagree with religion including Christianity and your sect. Although your Church is not as dangerous as others, particularly The Catholic Church.

To sum it up I was bored and decided to make myself have a laugh.

  • Well, at least you admit to being a troll!

  • How about the part where this BS artist Smith claims to have "talked to an angel", who "gave him a book of gold" (which would have weighed up to 200 pounds), and which he then claimed to have "tucked under his arm, and run for 3 miles while fighting off 3 men who tried to steal that book"? If you can't see THAT as the obvious lie it is, you're just as deluded as the members of any OTHER cult, religion, or superstition.

  • Joseph and the many witnesses said it had the "appearance of gold." It could have easily been an alloy--these guys weren't metallurgists!

Second, it's absolutely dishonest to say that "would have weighted up to 200 pounds." There are MANY witness statements which put the weight between 40 and 60 pounds.

Of course, you probably know those witness statements. Yet, you omit them from your explanation. I wonder why.

Is it because you're not really interested in truth?

  • I've heard the apologists' excuses, but this still leaves the "slight" problem of trying to run for 3 miles while carrying even 60 pounds, all while trying to fight off 3 enuncumbered men who are trying to steal it from you. This is an easy enough experiment to try for yourself, if you're interested in the truth. Of course, then you'll probably turn to some sort of ludicrous "supernatural defence", like "god gave him the strength to do it". Gullibility knows no bounds.

  • So if you knew all the witness statements put it at 40-60 pounds, why did you say 200 pounds?

    Seems deceitful, no?

  • Not at all; the "60 pounds" figure has problems all its own, as your superstition claims that this imaginary book was "buried" for thousands of years; if that material was anything BUT gold (which doesn't tarnish or oxidize) it would have rotted away to the point where it would no longer be legible. Once again, Smith's lies are shown up as fabrications. However, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt; tuck a 60 lb weight under your arm, & run 3 miles while fighting off 3 men, and film it. LOL

  • Read the account again. Joseph wasn't outsprinting those who attacked him. It clearly says that they caught up to him multiple times, he defended himself, and then continued on. All three times Joseph knocked the attacker down before continuing. Joseph was a very strong man according to all descriptions of him.

When I volunteered to build a non-denominational church in Peru, we carried bags of cement for miles at a quick pace, and I don't think I'm nearly as strong as Joseph Smith was.

  • I also wanted to tell you Stacey that your original "200 pound" description is a perfect example of what critics do. Distort the truth and present it as fact.

Since we began this conversation, I've gotten two messages from people interested in the Church who read our back-and-forth. After I pointed them to the testimonies giving the real weight of the plates, they were confused why someone would outright lie like you did.

Great teaching moment about the tactics of critics!

  • It's not a "distortion", it's simply a description of the fairy-tale that this huckster Smith told to draw in the suckers; once again, I invite you to tuck a weight of a similar size under your arm and run for 3 miles (while fighting off 3 attackers), film it, and then explain to me again how you can possibly believe a single word that this bullshit artist ever spoke.

  • When you ignore all eyewitness accounts (which you said were aware of) and make up a number to make it sound outlandish--yes, that is a distortion.

Being caught in a lie can be tough, but at some point you just have to own up to it Stacey!

  • Look up the word TUMBAGA

  • Are you implying God can't do anything? God can help Joseph Smith to survive the situation in order to spread His gospel. Besides, who told you it were made of gold? It was goldEN, but not gold. That's why it's called Brass Plates or Golden Plates. Not GOLD plates. Hope it makes sense.

  • The liar Smith claimed that they had the "appearance of gold", in order to sucker in the rubes; now, if they were gold, they would have weighed ~200lbs, but I'll give the cultists the benefit of the doubt and say they were nothing more than copper. Even a COPPER mass of the size described would have weighed at least 60lbs, and I DEFY ANY OF YOU to carry such a weight under your arm while running for 3 miles and fighting off 3 attackers. It was a LIE from the get-go.

  • if you don't believe it then carry on be on your way,try respecting and understanding someones belief before your type,oh wait...you that might make you think oops

  • @StaceyC123 the idiot stacey wishes she knew what she was talking about, has to go around to every mormon channel, and harrass the mormons

  • @StaceyC123 Seriously--if you're so against the church and what we believe, why don't you go to one of the ex-mormon channels and leave this one alone for those of us who do believe the truthfulness of the restored Gospel?

  • If they didn't fight against Zion as they do, it would make Isaiah a Liar! (See Isaiah 29:8)

I say, "Bring it on! It only proves us further that we are the LORD's established Zion upon the face of the earth. If we weren't bothered by anyone, I'd seriously be looking for another church. If the LDS church was not found upon the face of the earth, all other churches would be bored! *yawn*

  • true

  • When Moses Parted the Red Sea it wasn't Witch Craft, when They crossed over the River Jordan it was not witch craft, When Moses spoke to a burning bush, he was not considered crazy (well some did say that)

  • i believe in God and Jesus Christ. this is truly what matters, the death and rise of Christ.

i'm not trying to be mean, but the true church is Jesus Christ which existed even before 1820.

  • Yes it did, but wicked men caused a falling away, and this is the Restoration!

  • That's why Mormons believe in the restoration. It is the same church of the old testament, new testament, and it is the same church today with Christ at its head. 12 apostles, revelation, and priesthood authority. That's the great news! Christ's church has been restored on the earth!

  • Joseph smith is a false prophet...He saw the father..the bible clearly says No one shall see the father and live...Joseph smith should of died right there. In order to see the father, we look at Jesus....

  • Stephen saw the Father, he saw the Father and the Son just before he was stoned. Read the book of Acts.

  • lies

  • What do you believe is a lie specifically?

  • Why are you trying soo hard to defend in Joseph Smith? He is not a prophet from God

Matt 24:11-And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many

  • Because he is a prophet of God.

I believe that scripture to be very true. However, by specifying that there would be false prophets, there is the implication that there will in fact be true prophets (or else Jesus could have taught that everyone saying they were prophets were false). Instead Jesus taught us how to discern between a false and true prophet.

  • you should discern harder, you are in a pagan witchcraft occult religion.

I am not in a religion, I only believe in Jesus and that he is the Messiah, he told us not to be in a religion, he told us not to be like the religious people.

It boggles me to think people would blindly follow a religion without looking into how it started, what it is, who the founder was. I hope you will look into your organization and others.

  • Christianity is a religion. Are you not a part of Christianity?

  • I am a follower and believer in Christ, I pray to the Heavenly Father as Christ taught.

I am considered a Christian cause that is title given some time ago, but it is not a religion.

The religion is catholicism, mormonism, jehova witness, baptist, luthern, etc.....

True Christians who follow the way we are supposed to follow are not part of an organizational religion.

  • Christ created a church. Wouldn't it be important to be apart of it? That is what a true christian would do.

  • I have a problem with that the LDS Church is the only one true church and only mormons are going to heaven, cuz I know Billy Graham and Jesse Duplantis are going to be in heaven and be right there by Gods right hand

  • they are? yeah, right. but I don't know for sure, only the Judge knows, however, I think those 2 you mention would have to ask for salvation from Jesus first, and they don't seem in a hurry to do that. They love their money too much, and love their god that they worship, and it is not Jesus.

  • "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!

As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!" Galatians 1: 8-9

    Hence Mormonism is NOT Christian!!!

  • It's important to understand the definition of "the gospel" for this scripture.

What is the definition of the gospel?

  • The definition itself is not important. What's important is that Joseph Smith preached a different gospel than the one from Christ

  • If you can't give a definition of what Paul meant here with "the gospel", how can you be assured that Joseph Smith taught a different one.

Again, what's the definition of the gospel?

  • A great example of unselfish service is the late Mother Teresa of Calcutta, whose vow committed herself and her fellow workers to wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor

  • hey do mormons believe joseph smith is there savior or just someone whos going to judge them on judgement day?

  • Mormons believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, just as Moses or Abraham was.

Jesus Christ is our Savior. Joseph Smith is one of His servants.

  • What exactly is the basis of the your belief that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God?

  • Jesus taught that He would send the Comforter to teach us all things (John 14:26). Through the power of the Holy Ghost, each of us can receive confirmations of truth from our Father in Heaven.

  • He was called by God and was visited by Angels. Others saw the plates he was tasked to translate and others also saw Angels and Christ. It is all there to be read in the Testamony of the Three Witnesses and the Testamony of the Eight Witnesses.

  • Neither. He is the Prophet of the Restoration. Our Savior is Jesus the Christ. Jesus will stand before us as our Advocate as the ransom for our sins. Joseph Smith will not fulfill that role.

  • bullshit. i dont believe this shit. god and jesus would not come to 1 guy and say all of that. just 1 guy? omg how sad ppl believe this shit

  • Do you believe in the Bible? Do you believe that God spoke to prophets in the past (yes, one person at a time) who then taught the people on earth?

Please refrain from using profanity in your response, or it will be deleted. Thanks!

  • The difference is they all said the same thing, Joseph smith spoke of a god contrary. They also prophesied for the people to see and test, Smith's were wrong. Sweetestsin is correct. The bible calls for multiple witness for everything, Joseph smith was a single witness unverified by miracle or prophecy, and his words contradict those of scripture. He fails the test of Deu 18:22 in as clear a fashion that one could. With the Net so wide now you will see LDS only growing through family growth.

  • There were witnesses. They are listed in the introduction of the BoM.

  • After entering the valley, they camped at a place called Old Fort, located a few blocks from this Conference Center. In his handwritten history, he recorded, I unyoked my oxen and sat down on my broken wagon tongue, and said I could not go another days journey (Robert Gardner Jr. Self History and Journal, Church History Library, 23).

  • Do you believe that Jesus is the son of God and He is God too?

So, if you believe that, how can you doubt about the promises gave to the apostols?

About the future of the church and christians.

God never made, never make mistakes. He is perfect.

How you (LDS) propose something that give an imagine of a Christ....unperfect?

please, believe me. I pray the Holy Spirit to know what is right. The Book of Mormon and all your scriptures are human books.

  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father are seperate beings. Jesus Christ is the Son of God because of the flesh, and Father because of His spirit, for Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father's Spirit are one. We, the LDS church, do NOT teach Jesus Christ is imperfect, he is perfect, from eternity to eternity. We propose NOTHING that makes Christ look imperfect. You know NOTHING of our religion, do your research before you try to bash us. Thank you.

  • "Jesus Christ is the Son of God..."

    well and truly said.

    thank you!

  • You're the one who does not know your religion. Stating that Jesus Christ is from eternity to eternity is saying that He always existed. According to mormonism he is the offspring of Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. Therefore, he had a beginning. Also, every god in mormonism started out imperfect and had to work his way up to perfection and exaltation. So for a time he was imperfect. Mormonism is so riddled with blasphemy, it's unbelievable. Jesus has always been God! John 1, Hebrews 13:8.

  • Jesus Christ was a son of Mary and Joseph. He was born from Mary. But we are all daughters and brothers of our Heavenly Father.

People around the world have there different believes. They translate the Bible in different ways. To put Mormons down as if we are some kind of cult is not very godlike( Which is what we all try to be) We all believe in the same God, so why write something that is so demeaning? To really understand us, you should read a page or two from the Book of Mormon.

  • I know what believe the mormons. Don't worry. I didin't say that you don't believe that Jesus is the son of God. I know this. But......of the Bible whe know all (the places, the names, .....we have prouves), of the Book of Mormon nothing. Is a story invented totally.......is a false gospel! The same for the other your books!!! I am sorry, but I have say to you what is really true. Come in the holy Catholic Church guided by the Pope. Believe me. A brother. Peace be with you!

  • But we had faith in our Heavenly Father, and we put our trust in Him feeling that we were His chosen people and had embraced His gospel, and instead of sorrow, we felt to rejoice that the day of our deliverance had come

  • For if it had not been for the faith and knowledge that was bestowed upon us in that temple by the influence and help of the Spirit of the Lord, our journey would have been like one taking a leap in the dark. To start out on such a journey in the winter as it were and in our state of poverty, it would seem like walking into the jaws of death.

  • Dear lds9999

I read the book of mormon and sincerely is a "bad copy" of the bible. Nothing to prouve that it as like the bible. The LDS church is making big mistake and continue to propose to the world. I am sorry

  • What kind of "proof" are you looking for? Would an answer from God through the Holy Ghost be sufficient for you?

  • Its not a copy of the bible its another testament of jesus christ

  • Mormonism is a masonic conspiracy. It was created by masons (Smith and Young) in order to brainwash people into being loyal Americans to combat the problem of double agents. The CIA AND the FBI have training facilities in Salt Lake, and that is not a coincidence. For crying out loud even their missionaries dress like FBI agents! The upper echelon of the Church is CIA!!! MORMONISM IS AN INTELLIGENCE OPERATION YOU IDIOTS!!!!!!!

  • Haha, I always love the conspiracy theorists.

OBVIOUSLY anyone in a suit is "dressed like FBI agents!"

Be loyal Americans of the Mormons will get ya! Haha, hilarious.

  • You are brainwashed, reaching out to you is pointless...why do I try? Modern Egyptologists break out into hysterics when they debunk Smith's facsimilies by the way. What I said is true, laugh all you want. Do the research.

  • I think my favorite line was "The upper echelon of the Church is CIA!!!"

I would encourage anybody to watch the LDS General Conference where the leaders of the Church speak twice a year to the world. Then, tell me that these are all trained CIA and FBI operatives, haha.

  • You obviously don't know much of the origins of your church, for if you did, and had an IQ moderately above a doorknob, you would drop this Intell Op like a bad habit. YOU ARE BRAINWASHED!!!!!

  • We'll leave it up to any reasonable observer. Who is the 'brainwashed' one?

Me or the guy spouting off conspiracy theories. :)

Don't forget--if you wear a suit, you MUST be in the FBI or CIA.

I love Youtube. These kind of things brighten my day, haha.

  • The mainstream media has got you morons sooo brainwashed that conspiracies don't exist that you are all even prepared to take the word out of the dictionary. Idiots...don't you understand that powerful people have colluded together against the masses since the dawn of "civilization" you spoonfed halfwit? Wake up! Google ETHNOCENTRISM. In a nutshell: Mormonism is a Masonic Intell Op, co-adopted later by the FBI and CIA, which has been utterly debunked by modern egyptology.

  • Haha, whatever you say....

Glad the FBI and CIA are looking out for us!

  • HAHAHA that has got to be one of the craziest ideas i have ever heard!! wow, im not sure i want to know where you heard that..that is simply hilarious! hahaha LDS church run by CIA/FBI, that is so great, this has got to be one of the most ignorant ideas i have read yet. let me guess, the KKK is run by Dave Chappell?

  • Considering the critique of world authorities in modern egyptology, you would have to be brain dead to believe in Mormonism, uh I mean Moronism. You're just another spoonfed idiot that hasn't investigated the origins of your "church" outside that biased propanganda they feed you. Guess who has training facilities in Salt Lake. Guess who recruits heavily among the Morons. Guess why? You better start investigating dumbass and wake up! Have you ever read anything outside of the Book of Moron?

  • Ah, the conspiracy theoriest has re-emerged. Do you realize how silly your argument sounds?

    1) You say there are "training facilities" in Salt Lake. Since the FBI also has its primary training facility in Quantico, outside of Washington D.C., I guess every church in the D.C. area is controlled by the FBI as well?

    2) The FBI and CIA recruit LDS members. Because we serve missions worldwide, we are among the most bilingual people in the nation. Think that has anything to do with it?? Haha.

  • "What a blessing it is to belong to the Church of Jesus Christ and to have received the ordinances of His holy temple! We now feel that we are much more committed to be faithful to the Lord and endure to the end because we want to be worthy of the blessings that the temple provides in order to see our daughter again. At times we mourn, but 'we do not mourn as those without hope' "

  • Living the gospel . . . means that we will be prepared to face and endure adversity more confidently.

  • The book of mormon is an invented book. It is not true. It is not necessary to invent something more. All things you need for your life and your salvation are in the Holy Bible. All instruments for our salvation are in the Catholic Church. Believe me. Peace be with you and all mormons.

  • So if God wants to give more of His word, would you be willing to accept it?

  • baloney

  • Have you ever read the Book of Mormon?

  • yes I have , I had a mormon friend for a while and went to the services , I am sorry but this is a cult , what Joseph Smith said is hearsay , he never proved anything about the golden plates ,

I just finished reading Devils Gate and the handcart tragedy so sad and it was a stupid blunder dreamed up by Brigham Young, I just believe in one book and it is the bible, and the Lord Jesus Christ

  • I am fascinated how well Joseph Smith knew that he had to rely on the Lord in order to keep the golden plates out of the hands of the dishonest. It reminds me of the ark of the covenant and how when the people were wicked they lost the ark in battle.

  • Our success is never measured by how strongly we are tempted but by how faithfully we respond. We must ask for help from our Heavenly Father and seek strength through the Atonement of His Son, Jesus Christ.

  • Que buen video sobre la secta mormona

  • im very grateful that joseph smith prayed and had enough faith to recieve an answer, im grateful that heavenly father answered my prayer and ive found the truth.

  • se con todo mi corazon que Joseph Smith, fue un profeta de DIOS.

  • Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah. I know that the Prophet Joseph was called of God to establish Christ's Gospel back on the earth and to bring forth new scripture in the form of the Book of Mormon. I love this church and the truth it contains.

  • In response to Caprison's question.. there are many instances in the Bible, in addition to James 1:5 where the Lord wants us to seek truth. For eg. Matt. 21: 22 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." I believe when He says ALL things He truly means everything...including answers to prayer. Look in your Bible for all instances where the Lord tells us to ask, seek or knock ...and we shall receive, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Happy studying!

  • Thanks for your reply megan.

In quoting Matt. 21:22 you should look to the entire context of the chapter. Matt. 21:21 right before it says Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. Does the context say to pray for truth? That was my question. Look for truth and prayer. Not there.

  • When you do that search you will see the word truth used 237 times. Of those times you will see that in none of those instances in the verse or the context does God ask us to pray for or give instances of praying for truth. In fact when you look up truth and instances of his word you will see that is what we are to gauge truth by his word. Prayer in these instances as scripture dictates should be used for a understanding of the truth. Please look up those verses and let me know megan. Thanks.

  • LDS people! Woo! We're at peace with our beliefs and we love Jesus Christ. You all argue with us because you haven't asked God to provide you with answers about the Book of Mormon! See the light for once and let us teach you about another revelation of Jesus Christ!

  • Does the Bible have any instances where he tells us to pray if his word is true?

  • dude StorminMormin91 posted this: "if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not." Look it up, its in James. IN THE BIBLE

  • What does the context of the chapter talk about? Have you read the entire chapter? Please read it then tell me again if it is talking about praying if God's Word is true.

  • it takes a lot of faith to believe that Joseph was a prophet ,,,

  • God can answer our prayers when we ask whether Joseph was a true prophet.

  • Praying to God about Joseph is not Biblical,,we are given clear instruction on this subject, Mat 7:16 "Ye (YOU) shall know them by their fruits", 1Thess,5:21 Prove all things, this means You,, If you spread non Biblical messages then you have not the spirit of God.. remember my friend, "Narrow is the way".

  • One of the "fruits" of Joseph Smith is the Book of Mormon, because he was the translator. Therefore, it is important to know whether the Book of Mormon is true. If it is, Joseph is a true prophet. Therefore, we invite all people to read the Book of Mormon and ask God whether it be true.

I believe that God can and will answer our prayers to know the truth. It sounds like you may disagree which is unfortunate.

  • We can test The BOM by testing the source, "Joseph",Did God say pray about the Bible?, No, why not?, because it is the word of God, and when our heart comes into contact with our makers word it can be recognized, the Prophets in the book of Mormon are one dimensional, and have no similarities of the change in character David for example showed, God would not be the Author of this book, Plz look at it again, the Church has changed the book in light of the DNA test, did they tell you about that ?

  • Wait, first you said to test the FRUITS, now you reverse and say to test the SOURCE. Do you realize that's saying the opposite thing?

Simple question: Do you believe that you can pray and ask God for knowledge?

P.S.--The Church did not change any text within the Book of Mormon. They changed two words in the Introduction to the Book of Mormon which was written in 1981; they did not change the scripture at all. The change is insubstantial.

  • If you read the scripture it refers to prophets,so i did not change anything, A person can't pray for knowledge, but they can pray for wisdom to use knowledge, and the nearest to praying about the BOM, knowledge, how to deal with a situation, is,, to be given the light to see the signs that have been set out before us, God already knows what we need, and he provides, it's just that we in our darkness do not always see the way ahead, everything is provided for, even before we know we need it

  • The scripture says that ye shall know them by their fruits. Therefore, you can know whether or not Joseph Smith is a true prophet by the Book of Mormon. Therefore, we encourage all people to read the Book of Mormon and pray to ask God if it is true. God will answer our prayers through the Holy Spirit. Remember Jesus said in John 14:26 that He would send the Comforter to "teach us all things."

"All things" would seem to include whether the Book of Mormon is true.

  • In James, in the Bible, it says "if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not." It is in the Bible to pray about such things.

  • No No,, If you were to read the Bible, you would know for a surity not to pray about such things. this prayer is designed for ppl that are of a weak faith from the get go,, what sort of God do you think we have?,, one that can balance the whole universe, but can't pass his own word in full,? one that would give his sons life, but still not be enough? this Mormon thing is for ppl that are lost in life,, little faith due to their own action, or lack of action, and I know this included U sometime.

  • Free:

No question I lack in faith sometimes.....do some of your faith not also lack sometimes?? Even the Savior in the Bible chided his disciples "Oh ye of little faith"! Are you better than them?

James 1:5 is a perfect example of a Biblical invitation to seek out God for answers.

I cannot imagine a God that does not want his children to pray to him with our questions, our trials and our hopes and desires for him to bless us!!

  • Praying for help with understanding yes.. but why would we question God by asking if his word is true? He has already given us a way to gauge truth.. his word in the Bible.

  • because he warns us that many false phophets will say they are teaching us the truth, so to know for sure if they r christ actually tells us to pray and ask, by asking we will know who is telling the truth, and it does actually say in the bibloe about false phophets and seeking the truth. its not about qu
