I think the reason for the angled shot is that about 2/3 of the way through the anime, it becomes clear that Kai is the main character and we're seeing nearly everything from his point of view. Do you honestly think he was going to stare at Saya and Haji kissing? ;)

I just finished watching Blood+ awhile ago, and I cried at this part. It was such a tear jerker for me, especially since I had waited a long time for them to kiss like this. I was dissatisfied though. :( I wanted to see the kiss in FULL VIEW not of the back of their heads *pouts* but ah well. Tis good enough for me. lol

But the Animes Ending is very sad, even if Hagi is alive. The fact that Kai would grow old and Saya is in 30 years still a teenager, very sad. Saya have to live forever with her true never ending love Hagi. It is sad, but also little bit nice for them. ;)
