  • these comments are trolling

  • you realize that's a C7 on horn, not a C4.

  • i hit that note in the bathroom the other day

    thought i blew an eardrum

  • I was somewhat distracted by the pictures in the background

  • LOL AT THE POSTERS

  • not that hard but nice posters douche

  • i can play a Bb above the staff, but i'll probably never have to play it. lol

  • that is fun but can bust a blood vessel in teh embouchure.

  • I remember the Musikmesse in Frankfurt. When 50 People tried to do this simultaneous. haha :O) Greets from Darmstadt / Germany

  • that sounded gross lol

  • Dang.

  • holy f*ck that's high

  • f-----------------------------------ail

  • i saw some1 hit a note so high on the national anthem, his nose started bleeding

  • @Roguesaxophone57 fuck seriously? I just started last week... I'm stressing

  • @Roguesaxophone57 that happened to my buddy while he was playing trumpet once!

  • On F horn, a C4 is actually a middle G, Since Horn is in F; hence: F horn.

  • Why don't you work on hitting a clean high C before you try squeaking any higher. lol

  • Just a small correction C4 is the first ledger line underneath the staff id say u hit, or tried to hit, lol, a C7. Keep on Hornin' lol

  • hehe nice squeak

  • Not a C4, but a pretty sexy Squeak Note. ;D

  • Can you post close-ups of the posters plz? thx

  • No you didn't. What you did was make a squeaking noise. No control at all.

  • thanks, now all the dogs in my neighborhood are barking...;-)

  • oouch. my lips hurt from watching that x[ thats awesome.

  • OMG! !

  • Domino Fats, eat your hart out!!! Unless he was accidentally kicked in the groin while make this recording! :-P

  • Wow... that is really useful. Such a beautiful sound, I bet you are gigging a lot...

  • i didnt know that was humanly possible lol oh wow

  • thats just shrieking haha

  • ouch that has too hurt !! haha made me laugh though

  • my lips hurt

  • nice pictures on your wall

  • Hey man, you should post some vids of you playing music!

  • OUUUUUUCH

  • Now, do that on a 'bone.

  • It could be that the sound of the video is bad, but I think it doesn't sound better when I stand next to you. It sounds like an old chair wich you draw over the bottom...

You need more power and tension in your lips but don't press the lips so hard togehter because the sound should sound not scream.

ok? ;) Train a bit more and you are a pro

  • Easy. Any hornist can do that.

  • haha all these comments from people who are "the greatest horn players in the world" when they are sitting at their computer.

  • @DefaultSetting you're funny...its so true

  • @DefaultSetting Major logical fallacy. Stfu.

  • @deathray393 douche

  • @DefaultSetting retard

  • tu madre vos cerote!!!!

  • Nice. Not particularly useful, but good for entertainment purposes, I guess. =D

  • whats the point? screaming has no use.

I guess its cool u can go high though

  • AUGUST 1929 - JUNE 1938 (110 months)

  • I think you meant C7 but anyway. As sated by jsnare28, C4 is middle C.

  • Very nice. I can get to a B, but then my lips ache =P. Nice work

  • ahaha thts the funniest thing i've ever heard. =p haha. thts awesome. give u props i have a hard time getting out the c below tht!!

  • actually thats a B lol, you had a C for a second but it fell flat. =/

  • OUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH!!!!!! Did you have to have your lips stitched up after that one?

  • LOL roflmao.

I have to play the B below that note in our school orchestra... X.X

  • zhux, what piece are you playing that you need to play that?

  • ...ok i honestly doubt that..

  • Yeah, no you don't.

  • ..so you think you a good horn player because of that?..

  • no not really!

  • hahah owned eragon

  • @eragon812 eat a dick

  • by the midi notation a c3 is middle c. you technicaly played a c6 by music not pitch

  • c4 is middle c

  • WOW VERY HIGH!!!!

  • Horns are fun!

  • lmfao

  • Forgot to add that when I did that on my horn, it sent the dogs running for cover!!!

  • are you like, a jazz trumpet player? LOL!

  • gaah! i envy you T_T

i can barely reach C3 hahaha

  • Um... ok.

  • Wow... i cant even do that and im doing my grade 8 exam in a few months.

  • I am scared. That is not possible! But then neither is the C I once hit two octaves below middle C on the horn.

  • i reach the F# below that c

  • lol, find me some music that requires that note :-p

  • lolujealous?

  • @DramaticReachAround Look up Blue Devils Alumni One More Time Chuck Corea

  • @DramaticReachAround There's a thing called progressive horn playing. London Horn Sound, Vienna Horns... there is a small niche for this type of ultra-high playing. The real test is controlling those notes.

  • lmao nice man

  • this sounds F 3.

  • It is. :-)

  • french horn is a transposing instrument

  • nice wallpapers.

  • He Cartman,

    Jetz noch amol, oba schen!

  • Lol, i can do that VERY easily. Its not that hard!!!

  • me 2, I thought he meant the one above that!

  • but thats as high as i can get.. I've tried and tried but i cant seem to get any higher!

    :[

  • You know what, i listened to it again and i think you were playing the one I was thinking of... so good job!

  • Lol :p thanks!

I should put one of me on here sometime. Soon. I will let you know when i do it!

    :]

  • Whoa...I've been playin for four years,I can make a note that high, but I can hold the same note for about a 1/2 second..So I guess its just noise lol

  • Just amazing. I bet your range for auditions goes up the wazoo.

Only wish my sax altissimo was better!

  • jaja das bundesheer...

  • My 6 month old makes a screech exactly like that, and no horn even....

  • XD lol

  • nice...i've been looking for some high note french horn players. Some of the music I write has high C's in it and above, and I've yet to meet someone who can handle the book.

  • That really just makes you a bad writer.

  • Way to judge pieces of music you've never heard before. I guess that makes anybody who writes above a high G for trumpet a really bad writer too, right? Oh, and go ahead and tell Wayne Downey not to write high C's for horns in his arrangements anymore. See what he says. It's not completely impractical. Yes, the range for a horn should usually stay below a high G or A when writing, I understand that. I do my homework. I wrote a few things up there for a reason.

  • oh my god, i only can reach high A...

  • you sicko loook on the wallz

  • dude.. thats not playing. thats squeeling, (spell check) but i can do that and higher.. but no i dont have a video of it. but i can.

  • "squealing" is the proper spelling.

This is your friendly neighbourhood spell-checker.

  • Thank you... lol

  • haha yeah he has interesting pictures on his wall...

  • same.i can only reach A before the C you played.

  • I love your horn playing! Thanks for letting me view your video!

  • wtf!!!?!?!?! nasty...wtf! u sick minded....look on the walleh

  • That's why I watchedit.

  • oh my!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you sick minded look on the wall

  • lawl i play like that in 7th grade......but then again thats why im the school french horn leader....for higschool

  • GREAT!!! Now can you play up to it??? I can only play up to the G just below the C you played.

  • seriously?

    what grade are you in?

  • sorry that was meant for rbiklen

  • 9th, I have been playing for 6 years. I play can play a tripple, but i own a double, and a single. I practice 4hrs a day.

  • fuckin hell^^

I try not easy to get out the C³^^

    nice ;)

    greeetz

  • Wow, that's awesome! Check my vid out if you want, I played the same note, but on trombone :)

  • OMG!! i cant even get that high!! i hate you ju now!! jkjk!! thats really cool though!

  • a C4 is middle C! (the C below the staff in treble clef) what you hit was C7.

  • Gahhh dude. I'm jealous. I'm in eighth grade and those notes are just a figment of my imaginination lol.

  • wow

its so great all of you can do that!

because while your at it you should record it

    and then post it

cant wait to see them all

cause i sure as hell cant

  • I can do that!! I'm almost 13! That's so fun to do! I can hit lower than the c below middle c, but the fingering chart I have doesn't go any lower. =(((

  • If it's the Petal Gb that you can't go beneath, then chances are, you're on a single horn. Without a trigger valve, you can't hit anything between the Gb and the Double Petal C. If you DO have a double horn: B 2 Bb 1 A 12 Ab 23 G 13 Gb 123 F T E T2 Eb T1 D T12 Db T23 C T13 or Open
  • petal or pedal? Piston says pedal.

  • talk about killing your chops geese

  • I used to play those notes by accident!

  • look at the posters on the wall sick minded

  • Man I hit that note once and was like "YES!!" but then couldn't play anything else for hours because I have braces.

  • Me too, I hit really high notes on accident, lol

  • imma overshooter. :[

so i hit that note like 5 times.. on accident.

and then i cant play very much :[

  • Wow. I played that note once. Then my chops were shot the rest of the exercise. But I'm just an eighth grader, so... I'll get better.

  • eres un crack

  • ...why?

  • This was an Alexander Horn!

  • i can play the high C above that ^_^ and i got a video 2 prove it (not on here though

  • Well, I think you've just effectively found the best means of sabotaging your embouchure.

  • sure *gg*

  • mmmmhmmmm keep telling yourself that :D

  • liar you retard

  • james horn player suck my ballz

  • everybody suck my ballz

  • is that the highest c they put on most fingering charts?

  • probably not. i would guess its an octvace above as most people can't play that high lol.

  • Eww, did you see the pictures on the wall?

  • Yeah!

    What a weirdo...

  • This was our room at the army and so we put some pictures on the wall, that it looks more pretty!

  • ya okay suuuureee....

  • servas ... wo hast du den wehrdienst absolviert ... warst du bei den musikern?

  • Bei der Militärmusik in Kärnten!

  • ha you haters have no idea how hard that really is i play the french horn and its pretty hard to even hit that note with any kind of tone, and yes i can hit it, i can also play the low c below middle c

  • my teacher can go higher, and I can play the B just below that. not to terribbly impressive though; I want to see him hold for at least eight slow counts:)

  • My favorite part is that he still cracks the C above middle C. Not a practical note, but w/e it's there.

  • looks like you're taking a dump

  • ahhaah thats not nice

  • You know, that is such an impractical note you will never see in the orchestral literature. Why even waste time practicing to play a double high C? Why not practice playing the Till solo, or the calls in Mahler?

  • dude nobody cares. the range is impractical, but it's fun as hell. i got a friend who screws around in the upper range for fun (search "tasteless high stuff")

Oh and tanzaa, sick range dude.

  • Haha i did this once by chance. Since then i've only gotten up to the A over high C. Nice job man

  • rekrut beim bundesheer? das warn zeiten :-)

  • I doubt that.

  • Maybe i'll get a reply up in a few days.

  • ok. I'll be really impressed if you do.=]

  • Ok. I'll be really impressed if you can.=]

  • I will too. =]]. i'll try filming wednesday. But, i will say, no matter what, remember that i AM NOT a horn player.

  • hmm..it's still ok.

got to work on it more.can see u squeezing like shit.

  • whoa thats amazing! you should try to use multiphonics to play that and the next E at the same time! That would be amazinger!

  • Did that on my Mellophone yesterday with F.

  • Yeah, a mellophone. It's easier since it's smaller tubing, a smaller instrument and easier to fill with air.

  • Indeed. Horns are so not easy >: Adding in the sitting down factor.

  • It's ok I've seen better.

  • lol i can barely hit a high c! cool :)

  • i can do that to.

  • This note is never played. Never has been written for ... highest note played in written music with orchestra is the E above high c and F above high c (e6 and f6)

  • you must be talking about in french horn music becuase i myself have played a G above a high C and i know other intsruments can go higher

  • WHOAA BEASTT

  • wuz that an earthquake or did u just ROCK MY WORLD!

  • lol! I can't do that on my french horn. You know what? i'll try it

  • pretty high but you're flat

  • NICE!

  • lol i didnt think that was possible!!! your face was really red...

  • OMG I cant get higher dan a high E if u can do dat GREAT!!! I mean it.

  • ok., if you think your 13, and better than him doing that with a c4 than your a dumbass., i just got to point obvious thing,. its not a very easy thing to do.,.and i highly doubt that you can do that.,ive been playing for 5 years., and i can still barely do that

  • GOD DAMN!!!!!!! u can play SOO HIGH!!!!!
