Got mine taken out 8 days ago. I was put under with an IV fluid. I remember having the fluid take effect, saw my vision turn funny a bit and I noticed it. Next thing I know I'm out wake up towards the end of the operation. Wasn't quite as nice as this video was though. I felt A LOT of tugging in my mouth. Feels like the guy was wrestling with my teeth.

@thebuckeyefan12 well for wisdom teeth they sew the hole for other teeth you have to make sure to not get food stuck back there or it will start infection but the gums heal after like 2 weeks or at least start to so you only have to be careful of small things like rice or popcorn

I was really nervous of habing to do it before it happened but to be honest it wasnt that bad. And i am terrified to death of needles. The only bad part about it is getting the IV into your bloodstream and thats not even that bad. The recovery for me is more annoying then painful. I got the surgery at 9 in the morning and was up walking by 4:30.

@WhiteWraith1995 When they start to form, they push your other teeth away, making gaps in your gums and leads to infections in the gaps. Better to remove when they just start to appear, easier to remove, your nerves in your jaw are not fully developed yet.

- Just got 4 wisdom tooths out yesterday, just occasional bleeding for the first couple hours, taking antibiotics and vicodin. Only thing that sucks is that you cant really eat anything else but liquids

I dnt know if I got my Wisdom tooth out.. They pulled one tooth out though. They numbed my gum with a gel, stuck the needle in my gums. I felt so nauseous when they pulled it. It was the most disgusting cracking noise I ever heard. They just lifted the tooth out.. EWWW I dont know if it was a wisdom. The world may never know... But when I got up I almost busted my ass. When I did leave. I busted my ass. I fell asleep before I got in the car. Sooo drowsy that day.

had 2 taken out last week, and the final 2 today. the first time was pro because i got to watch superbad, and was heavy under the nitrous. and the funniest thing was when all the doctors were around me, the part in the film where seth says "she wants my dick...in and around her mouth!" played right as they got quiet. lol. but today...no nitrous, and no movie. it fucking sucked. take like 3-4 advil an hour or so after you leave, otherwise you'll feel like shit.

Getting mine out was the best feeling in the world. Food was getting stuck between my teeth and making my gums get swollen till i picked it out.

Those of you that are getting them removed I'd recommend getting sedated! I was 19 when I got mine pulled. I was sedated and didn't feel a thing! They took out all 4 at the same time with no meds afterwards except antibiotics and everything turned out fine. Recovery was a pain tho! Hard to eat.

It sounds likely that you are confusing your 2nd molar for your 3rd molar. You can check; the second molar is the 7th tooth away from the middle of your mouth and the 3rd molar is the 8th tooth away from the middle.

@Zip - it is VERY common to have wisdom teeth extracted, & as a Dental Hygiene student, I Highly recommend it! Wisdom teeth are unnecessary, difficult for you to keep clean, & in the long run can cause unwanted complications. Not to mention they can also mess up your current occlusion & alignment, causing crowding/ crooked teeth.

I had all four taken out at 19, two weeks later I had major surgery on my abdomin which is the reason I had to have the teeth taken out because they were badly impacted.

I know pain, but what people couldn't believe is that they wanted to send me home with drugs for the pain, I hate drugs and the way they make you feel. Sucked it up for 3-4 days in bed, had the surgery, two weeks in the hospital, sucked it up for 8 weeks and then went to the gym.

I was a crazy kid back then.
