@zoomerlawns there is no guitars on this game, LOTRO, lol... and mybe the notes thing is newer or something, maybe you can turn them off, but i have never seen someone not have notes come out, and you do know you have to play the intrument for the notes to come. go to key mapping to see wat buttons play wat notes.

I liked wow for about the first year, but afterwards it got reallying boring, the abilitys are all the same, things are way too expensive, it takes like a freakin week just to lvl once aft lvl 40, unless you play nonstop, so yes, if you feel like throwing money away, WoW is for you, but it gets boring beware, and there is like nothing to do!

when i first played this... all the graphics werte set on low so it looked like shit...so then i set em on high.. and it still looked bad... and it was really laggy (this was on the day the BETA came out)... my computer is a top line computer..i dont understand my Comp works easily for WoW no lag or connection errors.. so why is it only for lotor?

First you need a "REAL" sound card - USB (external) sound cards just don't work.

2nd, Go into Control Panel - Sound and Audio Devices

Goto the Audio Tab

Make sure Sound Playback is set to your soundcard not headphones or some such.

Open Fraps and set it to Detect best input.

Failing that try set it to use windows settings.

Failing that get on the forums and give some more details :)

You equip an instrument in your "ranged slot" (Hopefully that will change!) and the type /music to enter play mode.

the number keys 1 to 8 will play notes.

Shift and a number will play a higher note.

Ctrl and a number will play a lower note.

You can also re-map the keys to make life easier.

No idea about daily play levels but our(new) server (Eldar) filled up within weeks of it being launched so there are a lot!

I know peple who can indeed play that well without marcros. Also, every character can use lutes, the Minstrel class can play all instruments, and other classes have an extra instrument they can use.

I think LOTRO quantizes each note you play all the way down to a 16th so it's near impossible to be out of time if you can play the keyboard. He could of course be using a MIDI keyboard and just happens to know the song, it's very simple.
