We were able to obtain Martin's blueprints from the Luthiers' Guild, at a time when Martin had stopped building ukes. Our early models were almost identical to the 60s Martins, but as time has gone by, we have added features like a larger, more securely attached bridge and ebony binding. I think Meles are still the closest, in both dimensions and tone quality to the 60s Martin sopranos, concerts, tenors and baritones,, at least in the under-$2000 category.
