Just curious though.. not sure if someone else has pointed this out.. but if the song at 2.54 is supposed to be Scar by Missy Higgins then the lyrics are wrong. Axis of Awesome changed the lyrics to finish their lil 'skit song'. Actual lyrics are "So that I do remember to never go that far,
Could you leave me with a scar?"
Anyways just in case you didn't know.. but yer.. awesome singing guys! =D
Axis of Awesome's version is awesome, but they are not the first people to notice that kind of similarity in some many songs. It was noticed long ago. Check out Rob Paravonian. He did a Pachabel Rant a couple years ago that touched on that exactly.
well, we based this version off of benny davis'. i've actually never heard of the axis of awesome version until now. but yeah i have heard the pachabel rant. i wonder who was first???
Benny Davis is one of the members of Axis of Awesome. Axis of Awesome is a group who first started performing together at Sydney University's Arts Revues and Theatresports competition. This version of the Four Chords Song was first performed by Benny Davis at the 2006 Arts Revue.
@rpalena rob paravonian based his off pachelbell which is !-V-iii-vi-IV-I-IV-V and songs like Hook by Blues Traveller and Vitaminc C were based on that

Axis Of Awesome has a franchise in Philadelphia now? Or does America not care about anyone else's Intellectual Property rights other than their own?
