at least hes honest saying he plays to win. people want to hear what they want to hear. if you only play for fun play down the club. if your in a big tournament your not gunna play to loose.
just wish Ronnie would focus or give up the game. He can beat them all when he can be arsed.
If your going to lose Ronnie do it to someone that will make us all happy - not to the likes of John Higgins who lets face it shouldn't be playing the game after the match fixing
Re: John Higgins, how much money do the greedy s.o.b's need that they have to throw frames ? he is a multi-millionaire already. makes me sick.
@sweetypie000 He was found innocent of match fixing. He was found guilty of not reporting being approached.Given a choice of who's integrity to side with over John Higgins or the now late News of the World I'd choose Higgins any time. We must remember that you are innocent until proven guilty in this country and the WPBSA found Higgins innocent. Why can't you accept that verdict? I feel that had it been a player such as Steve Davis or Ronnie been accused you wouldn't be so quick to condemn.
@cpacoustic Higgins did it imo. Steve Davis beat Higgins in a match around the 'dodgy dealings time and imo that match was thown by Higgins absolutely. I would expect some of his aquaintances wnn a fair few quid better Higgins would lose. I'd expect something in the region of £50 mill has been picked up through his match throwingon his game with Davis alone.
Ronnie dosen't care one way or the other. He'd go along with a fix just for the buzz.. Ronnies interesting though and Higgins is zzzzz
@sweetypie000 No way did Higgins throw that match. Would never take that away from Steve Davis. Higgins played awfully and it cost him. Opposite can be said for the final this year and he even admitted it himself that the better player lost. Judd Trump will hopefully remember that fact and go on to win the UK in December.
As for Higgins being zzz, I suppose it depends on how you feel about safety play. If you love it there's no one better to watch than Higgins, if you're not a fan then zzz
Ronnie treats these press conferences like a therapy session! That was one of the most exciting games I've seen in years. The fluffed shots added to the drama. It was a great game!!
Very good to see Ronnie in that kind of frame of mind, it´s one of the RARE times that Ronnie actually is enjoying playing and wants to be in the tournament. Let´s just hope that he can bring that mindset into that cracking match against John and further on if he is to beat him of course...
@Junhui2 Yeah I though Ronnie played brilliant in this match but yet another predictable negative, self absorbed rant from him. Watching Ronnie play is so much more enjoyable then listening to him.

I think he's right, he didn't really play great against Shaun. But it was enough.

Haha what an arse this man is.
"The ball you missed that was effectively match ball"
"Hmmm no don't remember that?" - Yeah right.
The only correct thing Ronnie said in this whole interview is that Higgins has been the number 1 player for the last 3-4 years.

@nilesrules666 "the number 1 player for the last 3-4 years." the number 1 biggest cheat
